Fantastic customer service and cakes. They have a selection of cakes that are just a delight. You can also purchase the whole cake as well for a birthday or an event, it’s so much better than store bought or Costco and reasonable prices as well.
So sad that Broughton Market has joined the masses of other supermarkets that have cut the size of their products. They used to sell great cake for £2.50 a slice. Unfortunately today, I went in to find the size of the slices has halved! They've made them £1.99 but when you're halving size so noticeably, it's not worth it.
What a super little shop! You must try the various hand pies. We bought three (Ruby, lentil and beef with gravy) and they were all EXCELLENT.
You can find products you wouldn't otherwise be able to find. Lots of choices for biscuits, condiments, fresh vegetables and dairy products. I recommend their Italian biscotti. They also have a bakery section but it's not as tasty as other products they have in my opinion. They sell great meats too.
GREAT DELI FOR GIFTS ! What a great place not only for some food but also for gifts. We love going here and just looking at all the produce available, never able to leave without purchasing something. We managed to get some shopping and also Christmas gifts for family. We have been 3 weekends in row recently and every time there have been some comments made by staff at the till about people buying cakes !!! You either take a bag or a box for your purchase, if you take the wrong one there are stupid remarks made. To help solve this a decent sign would help then you wouldn’t need to get aggressive with customers. I would have dumped my shopping and walked out if you had spoken to me like that.
