   What an uplifting experience today shopping in the Haddington Tesco. Christmas food shopping made so much better with the Elf handing out chocolates and making us laugh. He was so good with the kids too. The Elf’s name was Bob and he fair brightened my day I can tell you.

   Another Tesco store sold me an invalid gift card. Went to this store for a refund. Apparently it's Tesco policy to sell invalid gift cards and not refund. Store Managers only explanation was that is their policy. Asked for a number to complain was unable to produce this after several minutes i gave up in exasperation. Moral of the story once this cretinous company have your money they absolve themselves of any responsibility of you actually getting what you paid for. If ineptitude was an olympic sport their managers would be nailed on favourites for the gold.

   Tesco mobile at Haddington was great today. Mark was helpful, patient and empathetic eg when we went to see him. We were asking about changing to unlimited data on a subsidiary phone. Was well worth going to see him. Thank you mark

   wasn't expecting to walk in and to see one of the members of staff on a facetime call whilst they was meant to be working think this is highly unprofessional and is not what you want to see when you go for a shop 23/09/2025 8:40 - 9:00pm on the checkouts

   Why have the scan as you shop option, then have to join a queue for self-service? Every other Tesco I’ve been into has a separate checkout section for scanners. The queue must’ve been 20 people long.

   There is usually lengthy queues at the self service checkouts due to the fact that only 3 of the 6 take cash and card. Why not make all 6 cash and card ? as not everybody wants to constantly pay by card, this would speed up the process of paying for everyone using them.

   I was told to leave as the person on the door who I believe was a manager assumed that me and the person behind me were in the same household (which we aren’t I just knew them). This man came right up to me, no social distancing and straight up said I had to leave without even bothering to check if we were in the same household. I have extremely bad social anxiety and this situation did not help as the man was extremely rude about the whole thing, made me feel horrible and left the store feeling like I would not be welcomed back even though I had done nothing wrong.
