Fabulous salon with a fantastic friendly team. Have been coming for my haircut and colour since the 1990s and would not go anywhere else. Charlie is fabulous as are all the stylists and support staff. Loving the new premises in Crow Road.
Highly recommend this hairdressers to anyone looking! The team were super friendly and really efficient even when completely full. Was offered tea and coffee throughout and they stayed open later to make sure I was absolutely happy with my hair cut. Charlie coloured my hair and I couldn't be happier with the results. My hairstylist Greg did a fantastic job (my hair is really thick and unruly) and I left with some complimentary mini hair products which was such a nice touch! Thanks team!
I’ve been coming to this outstanding establishment for 27 years, and it continues to exceed my expectations every single time. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and an unmistakable sense of class. Caroline and George are absolutely exceptional — their skill, attention to detail, and genuine care for their clients set them apart. It’s rare to find such consistency and excellence over so many years, but they manage to deliver it effortlessly. Every visit feels like catching up with old friends who also happen to be the best at what they do. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else! Such a high class establishment! If I could put in more stars I would!
Honestly, the sad truth is I was hustled from the start. Despite being specific about my needs: roots/half head of foils and which hairdresser I would like, I received a different hairdresser and junior combo (both nice ladies), an over exaggerated talk about certain processes which needed to be done and ignored when I stated three times, only to do what I had booked in for. The outcome? Hair that has been dulled (despite the request to lighten), too dark at the roots, a £159 bill at the door, additional cost for that which had been added: no hair cut, no fringe trim, average Wella products applied (despite my request for K-18/Olaplex). It is not the cost but the approach that leaves a terrible taste in the mouth. It is the duller palette and the knowledge of being scammed by what are our new neighbours. All pretty upsetting to be honest.

In town from Texas for a Christmas party and Caroline did a blow out for me which was perfection! The whole staff was friendly, place is chic and Caroline gave me great tips for my hair going forward. Have family here and will certainly come back anytime in town!
First time at Cresswell studios and it’s the best salon I’ve been too in a long time. George is absolutely fantastic, love my hair! Everyone makes you feel so welcome from the moment you walk through the door, and you come away not only with amazing hair but feeling so confident after all their helpful styling tips! The welcoming atmosphere and the nothing is too much trouble attitude of all of the staff is great. Importantly the clients needs are listened to not a “cut of the month” salon. The facials etc are also amazing definitely cannot recommend the whole package enough.
I love this salon - I had several bad haircuts before finding Cresswell, so I was overjoyed at the quality of the treatment I received here. Caroline is great at suggesting which styles will work best with both my hair type and daily styling routine. This has been my regular salon for the past 3-4 years, and I highly recommend it to anyone look for a great cut/style/colour.
