   I visited the Salon today for a men’s hair cut, as I have longer hair than an average male. Gavin and his team were very welcoming, he took my coat and offered me a drink. The conversation was polite and bubbly and he took the time to talk me through different options for my cut. The whole experience was excellent from the get go and I would highly recommend Marina Salon, worth every penny!!! Thank you Gavin, 5 Stars.

   Had an appointment with Gavin at 4pm yesterday after getting my hair washed Gavin asked if it was OK for someone else to cut my hair . As this was my first appointment in the shop I felt it was very unprofessional to ask me if someone else could cut my hair when they were standing right next to him so put me in a position that I couldn't say no. Julie made a great job of my hair. But that put me off the way in which I was put in an embarrassing position.

   This salon is fab. The staff are just so pleasant and listen to exactly what you want. Definitely recommend this hairdressers. I got highlights in my hair and Gavin, listened and knew exactly what I wanted. Get booking in this salon. Best one I've been to in Ek! X

   As usual a pleasant experience. The staff are always attentive & listen to what it is you want done, giving advice if you ask for it. I was having something totally different done today & am delighted with the result, even good comments from my husband.... almost unknown!!! I certainly recommend the salon.

   Turned up for my 2pm appointment with Gavin and asked to wait outside and then told couldn't be taken till 3.30, needless to say I left and will not be back. This is not the first time this has happened. They may be the oldest hairdresser in East Kilbride but they are getting a tad too complacent. There are other hairdressers just as good, more reliable and not as expensive locally.

   I hate to complain about businesses however I feel it's necessary so no one has the same experience as myself. In June 2016 I attending the salon the staff were friendly however very quickly it was clear something was wrong although no one admitted this. I attended for a cut, dry and full head of highlights. When the foils were being removed at the sink all staff seemed to be around me whispering and very anxious then I was being advised that they would have to put several toners in my hair as there was a issue with the colour. When I left my hair felt dry and my scalp was very itchy I also noticed that I still appeared to have a very dark rout. This salon is very expensive £130 approx for something that I felt was not right. The following week I attended Rita Rusk in Hamilton to ask there advise they told me at the back of my head my hair had been cut in two different lengths which they showed me with a mirror the left side was one inch longer than the right. It is now Sept 2016 and my hair has still not repaired it is burnt, dry and frizzy they clearly burnt my hair. I would not recommend this salon on the young boy who advised me he attends all the competitions and does really well not with hair like mine he would not. Seriously disappointed !
