An absolutely lovely wee spot. Easy online donation if you don't have cash and a really peaceful spot. It was a little smaller than I had expected and we were a little unsure on parking spots but overall had a nice time.
Small Charming relaxed garden with roses, characterful old cast iron benches, little quaint garden Bird-posts Gates and carved stone Swans-supports Fountain. Not flashy but lovely on a Summer day.
Smallish garden maintained by the NTS. It hosts the national collection of rose varieties but given I visited in March, they were not in bloom. The 400 year old yew trees are impressive and I liked the gateway into the garden which bears the coat of arms of the last family to own Malleny House.

A very peaceful place to wander. Some magnificent old trees towering over the borders, which look like they give all year round interest. A garden for all seasons.
Beautiful tranquil garden with lots of flowers, old trees and a pond flowers beginning to appear and can't wait to go again when all blooming .
Looking a bit tired but what garden does look its best in mid September after some heavy winds and rain? Nice quiet spot to relax. Would like to return when the roses are in bloom.
Tranquil spot with a single gardener (plus volunteers) very tolerant of questions. Can't wait to return for the roses... No cafe (perhaps mercifully) but I had a super, simple lunch at The Mill at St Joseph's in the village.
