In and out in 5/10 minutes! Only need your passport and PRINTED confirmation, fingerprints then payment. Collection slip means anyone can pick it up! Just a not that it is card only even though website says card or cash.
Writing this review because there seems to be no solid answer as to what you need to bring You don't need to print out all your documents and application like everyone seems to do. You just go there with a printed copy of your application certificate and passport and that's it. 7 people Infront of me and it took around 20mins. I probably sat there for 5, gave my certificate and passport, fingerprinted, paid and given collection slip and that was it
It was easier than I thought. The lady who has attended me was nice and kind. Furthermore, she was clear all time.
Great, but you can't your phones copy of documents You need to have a printed copy.
I must admit it's never been my favourite place to go. Being an old age pensioner I'm not good with computers and nearly every time I go they need me to do something on the computer. The staff are nice enough but unwilling to assist people like myself.
The staff are so friendly and helpful, the process was really easy and fast. It is a busy place so important to book your appointment as soon as you know you'll be available and ready to apply. Great that when you're collecting your passport you can jump to the front of the line, little tip people might not know.
Remember to print off your flight confirmations and ALL hotel confirmations (not just the first night) or you'll be scrabbling around for coins to use the cash-only printer at 50p a sheet and get sent to the back of the queue. Also bring a photocopy of your passport as that's also 50p. Other than that it's a nice place, good atmosphere, nice tourism videos playing and the staff are friendly.
Lacking a lot of information that would be handy to know before hand; 1. Even if you've booked an appointment you still need to wait in a single line at the desk when you first walk in. If you've got a 9 o'clock appointment and are in a rush wait at the desk not in the seats and you will be first, if not just take a seat. Even if you've booked an appointment you are still at the mercy of the initial single queue. 2. If you need to use their printer it costs 50p per black a white sheet (you'd think they'd let you off when the visa costs £150) also only the left hand PC works but they won't tell you this, so once you've sorted all your docs and have them ready to print, you have to do it all over again if you picked the wrong PC. 3. They only accept debit cards or cash no credit cards. The staff are lovely though and if you're at the front of the queue you'll be in and out very fast.
