Went into the shop looking for velcro and was impressed by the man working there as he took us straight to it and told us about what was available. We heard him give out directions about other goods people were looking for. It makes a change from staff that just grunt at you or hiv no idea what yer talking about.
A very understanding and helpful manager who went above and beyond when he heard that I had driven 20 miles to get the items for an Edinburgh Fringe Show. Now I will go to Hobbycraft first when looking for anything arts and crafts.
Horrible experience, terrible attitude of one of the store managers. He needs training in customer service, disability awareness and health and safety. The layout of this large store is unnecessarily difficult around the aisles and ends of aisles, these are too narrow to safely pass by or get passed people, as I know to my cost. I had issues with another customer, who wasn't paying attention and would have easily knocked me over as to quote her "she didn't see me" then followed me when I walked away. The manager's response and an older member of staff (who had initially been good) was very poor to a customer in tears. The manager came across as hostile and uncaring, with a lack of disability understanding or awareness. I then couldn't get past the manager to get straight out of the store as he was sitting on the floor. My way was further blocked by a works type trolley he was using. I was to get out of his way! The star is for the lovely younger sales assistants who showed care and compassion, unlike the manager who is paid more than them and should know better, but didn't I left in increased pain from walking more and tears because of the tight, disabled unfriendly layout leading to a situation that was very badly handled by a manager who couldn't care less. A truly awful experience, that has put me off Hobbycraft completely. i will not be using them again.
Got afternoon tea here from friends for our Golden Wedding. It was absolutely wonderful. Food was totally gorgeous, tasty and delicious and presented beautifully. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend. Will be back to sample full menu !!!
well stocked and very well displayed comfortable temperature it has some items that I have not seen in other hobbycraft shops I mainly go to collect an order as other shops did not have stock Ian was particularly helpful, good experience

Very well equipped store. To my surprise I found exactly what I was looking for and more! I will definitely come back for my future projects, because there is everything one may need: from picture frames and puzzles, through jars, sewing materials to models, kits and even kids craft and paint.
Stuffed full of pretty much everything you could need, really big and diverse selection from paper craft all the way to baking. Air con and free parking. Great place.
