   Me and Doug came to Bristol looking for the perfect Kebab. We didn’t find it at City Café. Having said that, there is much to be admired about City Café. The kebab was in our hands before the money left my bank account, the bright lights were wonderful and a really nice touch. The quality of the meal was as expected, but nothing more. It was almost exceptional in its ordinariness and exactly what myself and Doug were after. Would revisit again for sure.

   City Cafe acts as the pumping heart of my chosen city - Bristol. It would be easy to boil this down to the large range of affordable delicious options they offer (both meat and veggie) and the unbelievably quick service they provide, but even this praise would be selling it short. I can say without hesitation that what makes City Cafe truly outstanding is the personable and charming staff and customer service provided without fail. Ahmed, Murat, and Soloman (and that's just to name a few) are genuine guys whose hearts lie with their business. Along with all of their fresh quality ingredients, you'll find yourself tasting something a little bit unplaceable spread evenly throughout your beautifully jam-packed halloumi wrap. This is in fact: love. If you're looking to challenge yourself in 2025, try this. Place your order at City Cafe, have a chat with those blue-polo-shirted studs, and try not to fall head over heels for them! Mark my words, you're bound for failure. But not before you're bound for a mouth full of exciting flavours and tastes. Get down there as soon as you can and show some support to the soulful staple of Bristol...City Cafe. Maybe I'll see you there...who knows. City Cafe is what dreams are made for, and I'll tell you that for nothing.

   Ordered a chicken doner and took it home. Noticed the meat was very chewy. Started to pull a few bits of chicken apart and noticed some bits were COMPLETELY PINK, raw and fleshy inside. How is this allowed?! I just threw it in the bin straight away. Will not go back here, even if it was just a one off or an accident.

   There's nothing better than seeing the bright lights of the City Café and hearing the hum of hungry revellers excitedly gathered around eagerly awaiting their kebab or wrap doused in garlic sauce with all the trimmings (and maybe I'll get a portion of cheesy chips with that?) as you stumble through the city centre at 3am. Sumptuous range of options to satisfy your late night munchies for hungry folks for both meat-eaters and otherwise!

   Met Murat tonight and it was an absolute pleasure. Talented chef producing some quality food, and seems inspired by the people he interacts with. There's no other option now really when it comes down to where to get a kebab in town. The place is the one, for the pitta alone
