Just wanted to pop on and praise Gary at b&q Cumbernauld who let my son mix paint with him at the weekend. You would have honestly thought he’d won the lottery, he was so chuffed and it made his day! Thank you to Gary for making a boring paint shopping trip a fun experience for the wee man!
We went to the Cumbernauld Store. Aleks, Nicole and Lauren provided a very helpful, friendly and professional service. We returned some unused materials from our coffee horse trailer project; Nicole was patient with us and swiftly done the refunds. Aleks was great getting our sample paints ready and advising on the right one for wood in kitchens. And Nicole kindly advised on some primer to use for our tongue and groove cladding. A very nice team. Thank you!
Required some timber cut, but the two people who cut the timber both take their tea break at the same time, which results in a lengthy wait. Surely they could stagger their breaks! After all only one person can operate the cutting machine at a time.
AVOID B&Q ! I feel so bad for the staff who work hard and help in any way they can but are constantly let down by garbage products and cost-cutting customer-unfriendly corporate policies ...including stock levels. Never buy their screws, nails, fittings, paint, outdoor lights or any electrics. All are of such poor quality that you will need to go elsewhere for materials to finish the job right ....and good luck trying to get a refund. Even if you buy a branded product (e.g. Dulux paint) and there is a problem then the corporate position is "take it up with Dulux".
After really poor service at the falkirk store I decided to go to the cumbernauld store. The difference was huge. First time a young woman helped me mix paint samples and was so friendly and helpful. Then again today I went back to get paint mixed and the man who helped was friendly and helpful. Lovely helpful staff and a good sized store. Will definitely travel here before using the falkirk store again.
Went in here today got things I needed then went to checkout only one cash payment till asked if someone was serving and the woman from customer service wasn't very nice said scan your things I will be there soon one of my items wouldn't scan so another worker went and got the code needed but she never came back guy done my transaction as he seen I was disabled lucky I had my sister there to help also and thanks to the guy who was nice and helped me
Excellent service from two young ladies yesterday Saturday 21.1.23. One was called Caitlin. Caitlin and her friend where awesome spent £75 when I didn't even originally mean to spend more than £10 and thanks to their great customer service had a great experience
Once again didnt have what I was looking for in store. Went to b and q Falkirk who did have the items. This has been my experience for a while now with Cumbernauld. Never have stuff in store and cant click and collect items either but can do both at Falkirk. Very strange
Had to return paint that I had mixed as it wouldn't stick to the wall for the 2nd coat, manager dealt with it expertly and full refund given. Well done B & Q all staff!
Very dead shop with absolutly no atmosphere. Prices are very steep and some products lack quality. Its a sad day when non DIY retailers are offering better quality and cheaper stock than B&Q. I would be very surprised if this branch is still open in 5 years
