For many years now and lots of jobs I have worked sub contracting for ultimate, the whole team from the directors to all the contractors work well to a very high standard. Contractors my experience with this company was not good. They may not pay and then they may lie about the standard of your work. I've been tiling 15yrs and the work was basic tiling on a hotel in Haydock. This company didn't pay my total hours (fact with proof) even though I got my timesheet and work signed off by the person running the site. My work partner sent his over by email, got it signed and sent back by email as he forgot his timesheet on final day, luckily this is all documented so no accusations of false signatures. He was also not paid paid his total hours due to the same accusations. They said by phone call they apparently had to snag our work. We worked along side a joiner and his labourer working as tilers using wallpaper scrapers instead of tiling trowels. I noticed some of their walls where left uneven, trims not flush with tiles, dried adhesive on the tiles. We where accused of doing this work again by phone call, luckily my work partner took photos of our work as evidence which i found out later. We finished our contract within 5 days so didn't lose much money as they paid some of what was owed. If i was a contractor I would be very wary of this company if you have a family to support because you might not get what you are owed. If you do take the chance, take photos of everything you do, you may need the evidence as they may start with the accusations. You have been warned.
