A few months back I put my trainers into Sneaker repair in Glasgow City for a repair. The repair agreed on wasn't what I got back at a cost of £60. The repair left water being sucked in to the trainers , it took a few months for the repair and the patch wasn't the whole sole, it was a patch of about 2 to 3 inches. I understand there were circumstances around the time frame. Anyways they eventually gave me my money back. A couple months later the repair was coming apart leaving the trainers unwearable. I noticed this wee DIY shop on Paisley Road west and got chatting to the owner Joe about my trainers. He said he could repair them so I took a chance. I'm glad I did. A couple of hours later, Joe called to say they were ready for collection. I was blown away!! Joe had replaced the whole sole. The job was professional and it would take an eagles eye to see there's even been a repair done. Not forgetting it was almost half the cost of the other shop. If you're needing shoe repairs then Joe is your man. He's an absolute gentleman, a true master of his craft and a man of his word. I'll definitely be using Stevenson's DIY again!!
A lovely wee shop. Got my boots completely resoled after being turned away from another shop as they were pretty beat up. Joe sorted me out though for a great price and I’m so happy with them. You can really tell he’s passionate about what he does. I’ll be back here over anywhere else!
Just had to post how helpful the guy in this shop is. I was looking for something to hammer down Xmas lights outdoors .I bought some tent pegs and he halved them for me too ,free of charge .Thats what I call first class service
A great shop for DIY stuff. The lady behind the counter was very helpful when I needed advice on which paint I needed for my metal garden gate. Bought a new Stanley knife too. A few years back I had a metal plate made with an art deco font for my front door name. It's full of useful things. An Aladdin's cave on the Paisley Rd West!
Great store from key cutting to getting shoes done. The shop sell everything and Joe gives you great service..
After cutting the wire of my lawnmower the absolute gent of a man in stevenson's diy looked at my lawnmower and talked me through how to fix it using a 3 pin flex connection block. Feeling empowered I headed home with the necessary tools and set about fixing it successfully. Felt really proud and grateful for his help. Very much appreciated! He very much goes above and beyond, couldn't recommend any higher!
Such a great shop, find everything you need, i buy all my birdfood from there aswell as key cutting, diy etc
Started purchasing from this store a couple of years ago. Have never gone anywhere since. Great customer service. The guys know the products inside out and are always happy to provide advice. No matter what the cost of your purchase you get the same respect and reception. Big fan.
