   Had to pop in at 8:45 tonight to pick up a couple of items, literally 10 minutes in store. Was followed by security guard who stated store closes at 9. I politely stated that I knew what time the store closed. Your security guard obviously took humage at my response 'guess he thought i wasn't respecting his authority'. The security guards ego obviously felt bruised as he then decided to shadow me to the checkouts. When I was checking out he then asked one of your assistants if he should shut the doors... it was five minutes to 9. Your assistant had to tell him the store doesn't close until 9pm. Maybe some training or an attitude adjustment is required. Training in terms of health and safety 'you don't lock doors when patrons are still in store'. Attitude adjustment 'patrons are consumers and facilitate the need for his employment'. Doubt I'll visit again anytime soon.

   Larger than most Lidl supermarkets with a good selection of products and plenty of “Middle of Lidl” buys to choose from, in fact a lot of them can be very niche but hey someone must buy them. I do like Lidl for its fresh bread bakery section and it beats the competition hands down. They have also adopted self serve checkouts, some folk hate them, personally I don’t mind, it lets you get through quicker waiting than waiting in a queue. Good sized car park with a rapid EV on right as you drive in.

   Decently sized and well-stocked. This was not too busy so there was plenty of space in the car park. The layout inside is as you would expect for a Lidl. Interestingly, the in store announcements were different to what is often heard in others, which was a welcome respite from the repetitive "Introducing Lidl Plus!!!" ...

   Lidl is a fantastic supermarket for buying your everyday essentials like fruits, veggies, pasta, and more. Their seafood selection is top-notch and budget-friendly, with a lot of it being MSC certified, ensuring sustainable fishing practices. The bakery is also a standout, with freshly baked croissants, bread, and other treats. The store is clean, staff are friendly, and they even have a bottle recycling program. However, I was disappointed to see that they no longer offer incentives for bottle recycling, even though they stated that the trial was successful. The lack of quality meat-free and plant-based options is also a drawback, as their main competitor offers more variety in this area. Additionally, there are often too many shopping trolleys in the trolleys return area, blocking walkways. I can't stress enough how much more convenient it would be for shoppers if the store implemented a self-checkout option. It's frustrating to get stuck in a long line when all you need is to quickly purchase a few items. With the option of self-checkout, customers can avoid these long wait times and enjoy a more efficient and stress-free shopping experience. Overall, Lidl is a great option for your grocery needs, but they could improve in a few areas.
