Turned away specifically telling the woman on the door I was needing 1 item on Christmas eve 15 minutes before they close. 'The tills are off' she lies, as people continue to flow out the door. Absolutely shameful.
I'm editing my previous 5 star review to a bad review because of one of the deputy managers who is called "James" on his badge. James is an ignorant unprofessional who charged me twice for the same shopping. I told him many times that the first payment has gone through successfully and showed him the receipt which says the payment was "approved". I also showed him my bank app which shows i paid twice. However, he said no it didn't go through and he insisted on making me pay again. Then, it was proven i paid twice and i had to visit the store again to get a refund. When they refunded me for one of the two payments, they deducted the Lidl plus balance that I got when doing the shopping. This caused me to loss a free item coupon that I got when I spent £100 in Lidl plus. All this inconvenience and losing are because of the ignorance and unprofessionalism of James. This incident was on 21 October 2025 at 7:00 pm My previous 5 star review was the below: "Lidl supermarkets are amazing and always on price. The quality is also amazing. The vast majority of my shopping is from them"
Lovely shop, nice produce but most people waiting at the checkout to pay cash while the 8 card only diy checkouts had one person using them. Same last Thursday. Come on Lidl is this not telling you something?
Lidl, always worth a visit, the bakery section full of breads and pastries is reason alone but there's much more on offer. Fresh fruit and veg, fantastic selection of cold meats and cheeses, very good quality fresh meat and of course flavour of the week that always throws up some surprising items. Store is always clean and tidy with friendly staff on hand to help if needed. Lidl and the 'other' store are my two main supermarkets for the majority of my shopping these days.
Been twice since opening. Great store, amazing selection of products, staff have clearly worked very hard to get this store stocked and looking fab. Credit to all involved.
Great new shop, really clean, lovely bakery, staff seem friendly however I had a trolley full and asked if someone could serve me on the till but was told the staff member on tills was busy so I was asked to put through self scan. Not a big problem however would have been much easier to have used a till so was a bit of an inconvenience, there seemed to be plenty of staff and store wasn’t busy.
Great new shop excellent bakery and special shout out to customer assistant kimia who is so friendly, polite, enthusiastic and cheery whilst serving me at the checkouts. All staff deserve recognition but too many to name. Very good shopping experience
