I recently visited the Drumchapel, Scotland store and was shocked at the condition of the trolley area. The amount of dirt, trash, and leaves was excessive — far beyond anything you’d expect at a major supermarket. It was absolutely filthy both on the ground and inside the carts. It’s hard to put fresh food into something that dirty, and several carts wouldn’t even release with a £1 coin. Please see photo. I received a weak response from corporate and no response at all from the Drumchapel store manager after writing online, as my complaint was not addressed in real time at the store. This falls far short of Sainsbury’s promise of great value, leading quality and outstanding service. I would consider returning if the issue were properly resolved, but Sainsbury’s fell short of accountability.

I was here this afternoon getting my shopping using the self scan . The self scan wouldn’t work we kept asking the ladies to help us they where to bus gossiping not helping us when they did help us the one with the short blonde hair was rude and laughed at me and my daughter because we didn’t know how to work the machine I was upset and went out the shop without my shopping. When I went up to the customer service desk to complain the lady with the short blonde came right back up to the customer service desk and was rude once again and tried to intimidate me and my daughter. I was a regular customer but won’t be coming back because of this incident.

This place is weird it has a very dark feeling when entering this store a uneasy one if you like I just can't put my finger on why it is this way. The prices and some of the staff need adjusting got ro be dearest supermarket going needs mortgage to shop in here its like they are trying to be top end but are so far off it. Would I use again probably not unless I am desperate for something.

Great ranges, easy access, friendly staff and - on 06SEP2025 - nearly full shelves. The petrol station mimics - rather than undercutting - the local petrol/diesel prices including the local BP.

One star because of the appalling customer service I witnessed towards an elderly lady at the checkout. The operator was incredibly rude and sarcastic towards the customer, who was struggling a little with technology and being hard of hearing. I would be livid if I heard someone speak to my mother like this. Clearly more staff training is needed in customer service and basic manners.

The store itself is fine - has an Argos inside but due to the ongoing roadworks within the retail park, the visit which should be straight forward took far longer than expected

Great Western Road Branch Just been into this store and waited in a long que. As I got to the till to load the shopping I seen the sign on the floor that said the till was closing as I bent to pick it up the assistant told me that the sign was there for a reason in a somewhat snippy manner. I asked her if I could load my shopping and she did not reply. I asked her again and said if I couldn’t load my shopping could she call her supervisor. She allowed me to load my shopping and I paid. When the Manager turned up he said the assistant told him that I was aggressive. I confirmed to him that I did not believe I was, and asked the customers that where behind me what their view was. They confirmed that I was not aggressive. I truly believe the assistant thought she would suggest that I was aggressive to detract from her rather snippy remark to me. Anyway the customer experience was not very good and the shop seems to be vastly under staffed. The manager turned out to be the Till Manager and to be very honest did not make me feel any better about the poor level of service in the shop and in reality made me feel even worst about the level of customer service Sainsburys provide to its customers.

Been a while since I've been in as a moved away but a big difference in the look of the store. Plenty of improvements to layout. Plenty of staff about and well stocked shelves. Quick turnaround at the checkouts too

I went in just after Tea time (5-6) to buy some simple things. As I was going up to the checkout there was only self service tills open, I only had a couple of things so this was no big deal, but one of the items was a can of energy juice (which you need approval for before paying) I scanned all my items and then tried to find a staff member, of whom only one was around, but was too busy conversing with people to do the job their supposed to. I ended up waiting almost 5 mins for something that should have took a minute. Now I don't normally care about these things as sometimes shops are busy, but other than myself there was 4 people at the till so there should be no reason for the lack of professionalism and lack of staff (especially when you don't close for a while)
