I’ve never felt so cared for from a doctors surgery. Everyone is so caring and patient as well as genuinely lovely

I have been a patient of this surgery since I was born. I'm 60 next week. I have nothing but praise for the whole team. Okay, you can't always get through right away. Try being in Musselburgh like my work colleagues? Seeing the complaints in other reviews is quite amazing. I've had a few things I've not been happy with over the years but Doctors Cameron, Deans, Roddin and the Receptionists, especially Lauren and Caitlin are wonderful. As are the nurses, also a Caitlyn and the lovely darker haired lass whose name I can't remember at the moment. If you don't appreciate them, take your chances elsewhere!!

This surgery is poorly run with the receptionists and the doctors not communicating between themselves. The fact that a private note which you pay for, is a 4 week wait before they even review your request is ridiculous. I was also told that they lost the paperwork and that if I resubmitted I would be back of the queue again. This whole experience has prompted me to go private in the future.

Used to be a great surgery. Absolutely useless these days. Strike you off their register with no communication because you apparently moved house? No. I just own multiple properties. Thanks for leaving me high and dry with no GP when I need one.

Dr. McKenzie is one of the best doctors I've had in 10 years and the nursing staff have been really supportive over the last two years I've had severe health issues. However, any time I've had an appointment with a different gp the level of care dropped significantly. Maybe they don't read notes beforehand, but I think if the surgery made Dr. McKenzie's behaviour the standard the quality of the surgery would improve significantly.

I had bloods taken by nurse Kayleigh recently and I wanted to express what a positive experience it was. nurse Kayleigh was so personable, warm and good at her job, i've had people have a hard time taking my blood before and this time the needle was in and out in seconds! Please pass my compliments along to nurse Kayleigh and tell her hyper bowling was a lot of fun.

absolutely disgraceful behaviour from this practice and in particular Ashleigh the practice assistant manager. After asking for an emergency prescription for my heart medication (I have suffered 6 Nstemi's and 1 major heart attack in the last 3yrs) I was assured that they would email the pharmacy on milton road and that I would be able to collect it the same day. After returning home my intention was to call the pharmacy to see if my prescription was ready but unfortunately I began to feel unwell and slept all night. I got up this morning to collect it but received an email form the pharmacy to say it wouldn't be ready until the 6th. I called the surgery and spoke to Ashleigh who assured me on more than one occasion that the email had been sent. I then called the pharmacy that told me that the email hadn't been sent until this morning. Someones lying and I'm pretty sure it's not the pharmacy. I have emailed the pharmacy asking them to provide evidence of exactly when they received the email. It's a disgraceful way for this practice to behave. To lie to the patients that you're meant to have the best interests for? Absolutely disgraceful and I'll be taking this complaint all the way.

Main receptionist is very unhelpful and the appointments system is poor. I want to be able to call up and make an appointment, but this is apparently not allowed, if you call late in the day (which is the only convenient time for some of us to call the doctor) you are then asked to call back in the morning. This is not a good service, I want to be able to phone at a time that is convenient especially as the receptionist wants a run down of the problem which can sometimes be very personal. They will then ask a doctor to call you back to see if you are worthy of an appointment and this again can be very inconvenient, personally I work in other peoples homes and the last thing I need is a doctor calling to discuss very personal matters when I am in a clients home! I was put through to another person today and she was very helpful and arranged a call from the duty doctor, it is just a shame that I had to raise my voice to get put through to her and that the main receptionist seems to have no real people skills! Come on Milton Surgery, please up your game!

This used to be a really good doctor Surgery but has went right down hill since they have changed the way you make appointments. Onhold for long periods of time and once the reception does finally answer they are rude and unhelpful. You also cannot book appointments in advance anymore so I cannot request time off work to go to the doctors. The actual doctors at this hospital are very good however the new system and reception staff ruin it. Better trying to find a different doctor surgery if you are looking for one.

I can honestly say the treatment I have had from the Dr's in this surgery as been the best. All the staff from the receptionists, the nurses and the community nurses has been 10 out 10, I have had a few medical issues from 2012 which included a few hospital admissions, dressings ect with the nurse and for the last few years the district nurses. .At one point I was housebound for quite a while. With the support of my Dr and the district nurses I am getting out with family and friends again , my health is better and I can't express enough the outstanding care I have had. I have to say a special thanks to Dr Cameron and the district nurses . I would not be where I am today without them
