    Avoid if you can Since relocating here this Doctors surgery have messed me around, zero consistency with Doctor's so consistently getting locums who do anything to avoid actually helping with your health. My last in person appointment I waited two weeks for (totally fine), planned to discuss a physical health concern and my poor mental health. Provided a sample for my physical health concern - never heard back. For my mental health I was told I could only discuss one issue and I'd have to book another appointment. I've been messed around with medication for my mental health, I've now provided two samples for testing for ongoing health problems which I've not received any test results for and when I submitted a complaint they've settled as I "didn't label it correctly" - when I absolutely did. There is no doubt in my mind the lab would've had a back log and missed the testing window. Clear lack of care for patients, I can't imagine the pressures of working in healthcare in this day and age but its disgusting how the some of the Doctors just don't care.

    Called the last 2 days with severe back pain, pins & needles in my feet & legs. Told to call back 10.30 see if any cancellations,which were none ,told I can have an appointment in a week's time. Called again today , told the exact same thing . Not very professional.

    My experience with Bangholm Medical Centre is very positive. I've never had a bad experience. The reception staff are all very helpful and the Doctors are great too. I've never had trouble getting an appointment or a call back so I would highly recommend them.

    Trying to not be too critical of a practice I have used for many years but service has gone downhill in recent years. My past two repeat prescriptions have been incorrect and I know my father has had similar issues and when he has complained he was told that his behaviour was inappropriate and if it happened again he would be asked to register elsewhere. The practice must implement a better mechanism for patient feedback and act on this. We can’t get into a situation where patients fear complaining because rather make positive changes, it’s easier to act like the patient is being unreasonable.

    No problems they fit you in the best they can ,does not help if you are rude to them ,it's a thankless job dealing with the public, we have nothing but praise for staff and doctors, nhs brilliant

    I phoned up asking for advice on how to get a repeat prescription dispensed to a pharmacy that was local to where I have recently moved to as I have just had an operation and can not get to the nominated one on file as it is on the other side of town. The very rude and abrupt receptionist started to lecture me about how I had to update my address and that if I needed a home visit, they could not send anyone out to me.... Again, I asked if there was any way to get it sent to another pharmacy to which she went on and said that she cant do that for me and I would have to phone the local pharmacy and get their "secure email address" and then email it to her in order for them to carry out this one off request. I phoned the pharmacy who said that they dont have a secure email address and that Bangholm Loan should already have their email address. She suggested that Banghold Loan should phone the pharmacy to get this resolved....... I have given up for the day as I have enough pain meds to get me into next week. Will try again next week in the hope that I get someone with a better attitude. **Update** This review is based on the reception team and not the Dr's that I have had the pleasure of meeting over the years. I have now successfully registered with another medical center that is local to my new address (they were amazing and did this immediately when I explained the response I had from Bangholm Loan), so hopefully the grumpy receptionist at Bangholm Loan will have a slightly more stress free weekend knowing that I have now moved practices as I am sure that she only came across abrupt and curt due to her concern for me on the off chance that I needed to phone for a home visit over the weekend.

    Really bad experience with this medical practice can never get my own doctor Kirtens who seems to be permanently off after my old doctor Stevenson retired . The suggestion I join a Nuffield gym by Dr mead for chronic pain management is laughable. My Grandfather William Faulkner who had his own practice in Alva Stirlingshire would not be happy at the way I have been treated as a patient. The fact these receptionists have access to my private and personal details is concerning when they want to discuss private and confidential information protected under new laws. I look forward to receiving my full medical records so that I may get the appropriate care I require. This is not personal just a comment on the cuts within health care in the NHS and the number of patients doctors are required to treat with limited resources. Thank you for your help over the years.

    The staff go above and beyond helping pts. Dr Hill treated our mum, the care and empathy was exceptional. He always explained her care in depth and detail. Dr Allan has also given given exceptional care. There is certain reception staff who also goes above and beyond their duties. The Practice Manager also does an amazing job. There is never anything too much trouble.We cannot thank all the staff enough for everything they have done for our family. We feel so lucky to have such great Doctors, nurses, . We cannot thank them all enough. Keep up the amazing work you all do. X
