A stay onboard Fingal is truly a memorable experience - for all the right reasons! From the moment you arrive, the Fingal team look after you so incredibly well. The warmth and friendliness from each member is genuine and makes you feel so welcome. The rooms are beautiful and sympathetically decorated for such a unique hotel. The beds are the most comfortable you will find anywhere and the shower is amazing! The Lighthouse restaurant onboard serves delicious, locally sourced ingredients. It’s worth mentioning, my gluten and dairy food allergies were catered for without me missing out! Although situated in Leith, there is a tram stop just outside the hotel, so an easy trip to Princes Street if the walk isn’t for you. I will (and do!) return!

We stayed here for one of our nights in Edinburgh. It is a bit away from the center of the town. So it almost gave us the feeling of two separate vacations. The first down at the docks (the Fingal) and then the last two nights on princess Street. The area seems very quiet in the evenings. We were offered an upgrade to the two-story suite for an additional 175 pounds. It was a nice upgrade. They do a good job integrating the rooms into the space. The rooms are of course, not very roomy, but efficient and clever use of space. The breakfast was included and was very elegant with attentive service . We did have dinner there (not included in the price ) which I will review separately, but it was on par with the Michelin star restaurants that we ate at in London. The state also included tickets to the Royal Britannia, which was a pleasant five minute walk away.

Husband's best ever birthday. Worth every penny. We were treated like royalty, everyone, and I do mean every single member of staff, genuinely makes a massive effort to put all the guests at ease. It was utterly fantastic. The food is amazing. The breakfasts incredibly delicious. The rooms are gorgeous with big comfy beds, especially the pillows. Lots of lovely touches like a different coloured makeup cloth so you don't ruin their white ones, loved that. We had complimentary tickets to see the Royal Yacht Brittania, an absolute must if you're in the area. One of the best experiences we've ever had. Will definitely return.

Rooms are nice, exquisite and very comfortable. I would say this is affordable luxury. All of the staff are very pleasant and polite. They always want to help, no matter what. Not forgetting that breakfast is free and really nice. You can move around the ship for some sight seeing and we also got two free tickets to see the Britannia Yatch (Tickets can be transferred or used at anytime). The location is quiet. It was indeed a floating experience

Absolutely amazing stay. Cabin was gorgeous, immaculately clean, with hugely stocked fridge. The staff were all perfect, customer service is 10/10, we couldn’t have been treated better. Breakfast was beautiful, compliments to the chef. Loved being able to go out onto the deck from our cabin. Highly recommend. So easy to get into Edinburgh centre, with tram stop 2 minutes away & trams coming along every 5 minutes. Xx

Warm friendly welcome aboard. Crew very attentive but relaxed. Delicious Afternoon Tea served in the lighthouse bar. The atmosphere was second to none. My bucket list has an addition, when we return to Fingal we will. E booked into one of the beautiful cabins. Thank you again!!!

We had a wonderful weekend at Fingal. The area is under tram construction which makes it less appealing to get to but is worth it when you do. The staff are so helpful and friendly, they cannot do enough for you. The breakfast and afternoon tea are fantastic, such great flavours and perfectly cooked and presented food. The bed was so comfy even if it is high up (I needed the step provided) Wonderful experience and we would highly recommend

Fantastic experience all around. Warm greeting at the door, the food is exquisite and beautiful presented, attentive and knowledgeable wait staff. We were given a tour and told the history of the boat after our dinner by the gentleman at reception, the rooms look amazing. Will definitely be booking again. The engine room is not to be missed on the bottom deck.

Very cool ship with very friendly staff. We received a very warm welcome and found the car park very convenient. The rooms themselves were great and quirky with great amenities. We had interconnecting rooms and the air conditioning was not working, resulting in a temperature of 26c in the rooms over night. This meant an uncomfortable sleep. Upon reporting it in the morning, the staff offered to place fans in the room which helped a little on the second night, but essentially just moved the warm air. No real attempt to fix the root cause of the problem which was very disappointing for the price we paid for the rooms.
