Delightful accommodation. Very attentive, friendly staff. Wonderful attention to detail. Fantastic value for money. We were given a free upgrade, which made the night even more special as it was part of my 60th birthday celebrations.

What an incredible stay at Ocean Mist. I could easily write several pages, but I won’t spoil too much for others — all I can say is wow. From the moment you step aboard you’re greeted by friendly, smart staff. The décor is second to none; every meticulous detail is either hand-crafted or clearly created with real thought. The cabins are pristine, and everything you could possibly need is there. Even the hand-stamped toilet rolls, folded into little sailboats, were a magnificent touch. Evening drinks on the bridge were a highlight, with some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had and attentive staff who genuinely went the extra mile. Breakfast was unreal — the cheese and bacon bread especially went down a treat. I was fascinated by the history, so I spent some time looking through the photo books and learning the story behind the vessel, and I’m so glad I did. At breakfast I recognised a familiar face, and realised it was the owner’s son. Being part of the project, he took the time to talk with us — a humbling, memorable experience. William is a credit to his family: bright, intelligent and passionate. It was refreshing to see someone so invested in both the heritage and the guest experience. Mr Pedley, you should be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved. To Alan and Nadia — your son William is a testament to your hard work and values. I can’t wait to recommend Ocean Mist to my clients, and I’m excited to see your future projects. Thank you for the hospitality and the unforgettable experience. We will be back.

Had an amazing stay with the Ocean Mist and team. The boat feels very luxurious and art deco style. We stayed for our anniversary and they all made us feel very special. Thank you to our lovely housekeepers that presented the rooms great with some swan towels in a heart! We had a lovely breakfast this morning also in the nice bar area on the top deck with the dancing captain herself. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Perfect expérience ! The staff is very welcoming and smiling, the rooms are quiet, very well decorated and arranged, there is coffee, tea available as well as little treats. Vintage bathroom with beautiful bathrobes, perfect bedding, a very cute stuffed animal as a «  do not disturb   « sign. Hearty continental breakfast with salted ,sugar , yogurts , fruits, pastries! Perfect location , the airport tram can take you in 50 m , 5 m walk to the hotel for 11 £ p/p ( stop at THE SHORE and 5 m walk , this same tram drops you off in the center of Edinburgh too in 15 m , every 8 m! Ocean Mist’s bar is very pleasant , open until 11 p.m. , vintage and super cozy! Opposite the hotel you have a very good fish restaurant, very classy, semi-gastronomic cuisine! Superb experience and address!!!

Room was very clean. No place to put things( needs drawers or more surface space. Everyone cheerfully got us face clothes and ice. No TV is a REAL issue for those staying more than a night or two. We stayed a week and we missed TV We told staff this. We were told volume concerns kept them from not having TV. Hummmmm. Leith is great BUT the boat is not near the tram so walk Taxi or bus only. The BEDDING really SELLS this place. It was luxurious! A simple cold breakfast is offered at no charge. If you have a mobility issue they can go up the three flights of stairs to get you something from the breakfast. Walls are THIN. And people can be heard at all hours in the halls. The shower was wonderful.

I didn't stay on the Ocean Mist but I did pop in when they open up the ship to the public in some afternoons between 16:30 until late. Luckily it was still light when I ventured on board and ordered one of their cocktails, a Black Mussel which certainly appealed to my sweet tooth. It was great to relax, sitting out on the open deck and there's also the chance to explore the rest of the outside deck which was refreshing rather than having the usual cut off points because you're heading out to sea and somebody might fall overboard. Understandably though, this is down to the fact that the Ocean Mist is a moored boatel and at reception they were great and allowed me to check out the rest of the ship. They have I believe 23 cabins to stay in, but I can imagine that staying aboard would be a real treat.

One of the best hotels I've ever been to, by far. The boat is beautifully designed with incredible attention to detail. It's an independent hotel, and small enough that the hotel feels personal and cosy. The rooms are spacious, beautiful, and incredibly comfy. The bar is brilliant with good views over Leith and very good cocktails. All the staff were warm and friendly. There isn't a restaurant on the boat, but there is a wide range of good restaurants within 1 min walk. I feel I should say a negative to balance this review, but I genuinely can't think of any worth mentioning. The Ocean Mist far exceeded all my expectations!!

Incredible experience right from the get go! Arrived ahead of schedule and provided with a warm welcome, early check in and surprise room upgrade! Room was magnificent with incredible views... everything from start to finish is thought of and the attention to art-deco detail is flawless. The hotel is beautiful and given the recent opening, the service and finishing touches were well thought out. Bedroom, spacious and comfy, best bed ever! Bathroom, beautifully done and again nautical and art deco details were pristine. Staff all on board were friendly and super helpful, nothing was an issue and fab knowledge in terms of tips to get into town and locations to visit. Breakfast was perfect and my-god the croissants were delicious! Sat in the bar area, what a view and again stunning detailing in all of the service. The hotel even looked after our bags for the day after check-out. Cannot fault a single thing and 5 stars really is not enough! A wonderful niche experience in the stunning Leith.... hats off to this new business!!

On a walk back to our hotel a very nice gentleman called Andy invited us on to Ocean Mist to enjoy the ships fantastic bar. Here William mixed us two truly superb Cocktails... The evening was warm and the light reflected across the water rather magical. Such a fantastic place with a real sense of stepping back in time. Andy and William you made our Edinburgh whistle stop something so very special. Thank you. Next time we visit it will be as residents in this fantastic Hotel.

This place is amazing. The decor is fantastic and perfect for the setting, they've paid so much attention to detail. The staff are all lovely but Marco who works the bar is incredible. He is clearly very well trained in mixing drinks and you can tell he loves his job. He took time to chat to my partner about different drinks and he had so much knowledge it made my partners night talking to him. He even showed us how to make a certain cocktail as we were interested in the process. A really special stay here. I'm writing this review before we have the breakfast but I'm sure that will be just as amazing as the rest of our stay. We will be back.
