The hotel seems nice; for dinner it’s a little bit mediocre as far as three course menus go. All the starters are alright; the turkey is a touch bland and the “blackened” sea bass is over cooked but barely grilled and under seasoned. The desserts are fine, nothing to write home about. Mildly underwhelming for the price. Decent wine selection though.

Fantastic time at The Raeburn for my wife's birthday. Their private dining is exceptional-staff are extremely pleasant and attentive, food was excellent, and their cocktail options were brilliant. Dog friendly as well, so we could bring the hairy one! Thank you to Jackie and the staff for a great event.

The staff at the Raeburn are nice and accommodating! The rooms are very aesthetically pleasing and they offer great amenities like a hair straightener that my wife really appreciated. The aesthetic was really great, think dark academia vibes! The location is fantastic and walkable from nearby attractions.

I booked a dinner to celebrate my birthday with my family and chose to dine in the restaurant area. It was an early Monday evening, and the venue was quiet, providing a calm and comfortable atmosphere. To begin, we enjoyed a glass of champagne and a non-alcoholic drink, accompanied by BBQ-style chicken wings and prawns served in a buttery sauce. While the prawns were fresh, they were regrettably bland and lacked any distinctive seasoning or depth of flavour. For the main course, we ordered one chicken pie and two portions of grilled lamb. Unfortunately, the lamb was underwhelming — it contained very little meat and an excessive amount of fat, making it unappetising and overly oily. Although I am not a vegetarian, the dish was simply too greasy to enjoy. This was particularly disappointing given that my previous two visits to the restaurant had been pleasant experiences. We also ordered three glasses of red wine, and the total bill came to £145.81. Considering the quality of the meal, this felt overpriced. Sadly, based on this experience, I would not recommend the restaurant for future dining.

So much old time beauty and charm. We absolutely loved our stay at The Raeburn! The hotel is in a great location. Our room was so cozy, lovely, and full of character. There’s also a fun restaurant downstairs. Would 100% recommend.

I have been here twice and both times the service has been unacceptably slow despite the restaurant not being full. I had to ask for the bill from 3 different employees before I received it - we had been sitting with plates at our table for about half an hour. The food is fine; standard pub comfort food, nice environment.

Was in here for my brother in laws 40th. We ended up in the private side bar off to the right as you come in, service was great, the staff were friendly and the meal we had was awesome. Good beer and wine choice too. I have been in the main bar of previous occasions and this is also a worthwhile visit. Would happily recommend

We didn't stay here but we had lunch. Really nice lunch. Soup and a sandwich and a pint. Very good value at under £20 and that included service charge. Definitely recommend.

Popped in for a late lunch, there was a slight wait to be greeted as you have to wait to be shown to a table but it wasn't too long, there were two bar staff who saw us and it would have been nice for them to acknowledge and say someone will be right with you as it wasn't busy. This was the only slight negative to our attendance. Our waitress was really polite and friendly and her service was very good. The food was also really nice, my mum commented it was the best fish and chips she has had. The portion sizes were good and the prices was good for the amount and quality of the food. The atmosphere and design of the bar area is very nice and welcoming as is the outside area.
