Had an amazing overnight stay for our early morning flight room was spacious and we had a family room. Beds were exceptionally comfortable Dinner was tasty and great portion size. Can almost touch edinburgh runway and could see some of the planes taking off. Would definitely stay again!check in and out was easy and fast even when it was a busy time.

The location was fantastic, just a stone’s throw from the airport, and getting a taxi was quick and easy. Breakfast could use a little more excitement (and perhaps a little less of a price tag). Dinner required a bit of patience (around two and a half hours’ worth), but at least it didn’t break the bank when it finally showed up. The front desk staff were a mixed experience, one lady seemed less than thrilled to be there, mumbling her way through check-in, but thankfully a younger staff member later on was absolutely lovely and really made up for it when our keys stopped working, which apparently it tends to do around 11am-12pm. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable enough, but definitely not soundproof — so if you’re hoping for an early night, you might want to pack some earplugs (or just embrace the soundtrack of your neighbors’ holiday adventures).

I travel alot around the country and invariably use Travelodges given the short nature stay I have on business trips. This hotel is by far much better than the others I have stayed in around the UK. Whilst there is always a 'Travelodge standard' look and feel, this hotel exceeded the standard by far. From charging points next to the bed (and a few more plug points - thank you) to having food on site. (again thank you) Rooms were very comfortable, shower working perfectly. The hotel is next to the airport but there is little to no noise heard once windows are shut. Staff are extremely helpful, polite and kind. Ive read some of the reviews about staffing and I have to say, I absolutely disagree. Everyone has been courteous, kind, helpful and supportive. There was quite a bit of noise overnight from guests shouting in the corridor, but there you go, thats guests for you! I am in the hospitality industry and fully understand we are catering for all. Well done Travelodge Ratho, it was a lovely stay and next time I am in Edinburgh, I will be booking this one again

We stopped off here on way to see family in fife. We picked this hotel originally as it was cheap and close to Edinburgh zoo. We were a little worried about it being so close to the airport but this turned out to be it's main attraction! Our 7 year old loved watching the planes take off from the stair well and later we walked 5 minutes to a footbridge over the main road where we got and even better view. We were initially worried the noise would keep us up, but once inside the hotel there was barely any external noise and we couldn't even hear the planes once in our room with the windows shut. There was no internal noise we could hear either. We enjoyed dinner in the bar cafe which was served promptly and was really tasty and good value. Breakfast the next morning was awesome lots of options and availability and cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly, approachable, helpful, and visible. We had such a lovely stay we were going to book a night for the way home but unfortunately due to the fringe festival room prices went up far too much for us! We will definitely look here for future trips to Scotland though. Would highly recommend.

Booked overnight stay as flying from Edinburgh. Room was clean but so close to the road there was a lot of traffic noise. Food was rather mediocre & the Pancake Stack sweet had been over cooked in a microwave so they were like hard tack, not really an enjoyable eating experience. The Staff however were friendly & willing to help.

Lovely staff! Rooms have all you need for your overnight stay, incl. comfy bed, before heading to the airport. Bar seems good. Not sure if it is possible to reach by public transport. Otherwise go to airport and take a taxi (£15 each way Dec. 2022). Cheapest airpot hotel around.

This is a useful overnight stop for the airport. Our room was well equipped and simple with an excellent shower. They even have 2 x USB points by each bed which is brilliant for travellers who need to use, and charge, their phones. Keep the windows shut or it could be noisy if you are not used to traffic. It is obviously well managed because the team are all smiling and we caught a number of them together and there was a cheerful banter. The full breakfast is good value though not gourmet! The sausages were excellent and week cooked, and the scrambled egg was super, not too dried out like some left in a bain-marie! This is my second visit and we shall be back.

Stayed for business last week, I could not fault anything. The Room was very clean and spacious, the food was delicious and the staff were great. Paige particularly was fab and definitely went the extra mile to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. Would stay again and would highly recommend
