Only 150 meters from the Haymarket railway station! Beautiful rooms, nice atmosphere.

Location is perfect. Right beside haymarket tram and train station. Easy to get to from the airport and easy to get to Princes St from. The rooms are basic but clean. There was a selection of teas and coffees as well as some shortbread biscuits available which was a nice touch. Price is quite high for the quality of the room and bed etc but seems to be standard in the area.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with the Altido Haymarket Hotel. Upon arriving at 4 pm, I was shocked to find my room completely unprepared—unmade bed, rubbish in the bins, and used towels left from the previous guest. I contacted the hotel immediately and was assured by a staff member that the issue would be resolved, but no timely action was taken. As the evening progressed, I was left with no choice but to find alternative accommodation at the last minute, which was significantly more expensive. This experience demonstrated a lack of accountability, professionalism and concern for guest satisfaction. I cannot recommend this hotel and advise others to consider alternative accommodations where service quality and guest care are taken seriously.

This was the worst hospitality experience in the the last 20 years of traveling. The Hotel cancelled my family's reservation shortly before arrival, during Edinburgh Festival Season. Giving us no suitable alternative rooms and refusing to rebook us to another hotel in the city, left us stranded, having to book another hotel last minute during festival season, costing a fortune. Then it took weeks to get my money back. If you have the option to stay literally anywhere else in the city, do it. I do not recommend.

Great room. Massive. Could have fitted a king bed. Had smart tv a fridge with crockery. A little en-suite. The drainage was bad in our room and the shower hose was broken, so the whole bathroom would get wet. Had to spit when bushing my teeth in the toilet as the water wouldn’t go down the drain. We did call for someone to come sort it but they didn’t come. Because of the location it can be noisy but they did warn us about that before booking and they supplied ear buds. Which I found very useful. Loved people watching through the window. Had a nice social space with hot drinks, fruit a board games which is nice. Very good area to get to lots of places, plenty places you can eat walking distance and public transport is very accessible.

I had super pleasant stay at Altido which is centrally located and you can walk around the city in the easiest way. The hotel is super clean and quiet where you can enjoy your sleep. Personally I got great support from Mrs.Debby (I hope I correctly write her name) who allowed me to have early check in and I got my room at 11 AM , she is always welcoming me back with great smile. It was my MBA graduation ceremony and thanks to Altido team who made it really enjoyable time. Highly recommended and sure will come back again to such lovely city

Great place to stay. Our room, no 6, was as shown in the picture. Stylish as the rest of the building. Felt like home. Coplimentary drinks in the room and in the communal area. Also fruits and biscuites all day. 20-25 minutes by foot from city center. Tram and bus across the street. Organized area. We were allowed to leave our baggages for a last stroll in the city. Real made our last day there. Thank you!

Definitely in a good position and the free coffe/tea machine is a plus point, but some things are really annoying: i was alone, so my room was little, I totally understand and accept it of course, but it was literally impossible to sit on the toilet bowl because it was too near another forniture. That was very very frustrating. Plus, in six days nobody ever came cleaning the room or changing the sheets and towels, also the trash can was starting to smell since nobody changed it. Another bad thing is the fact that there was no lift and I had to take my heavy suitcase to the second floor. Last, there's not a reception, you don't have a key, and if you have a problem there's not a physical person you can talk to.

Convenient location and good price, step off the airlink bus from the airport and it's right there. Tram line is right next to it too. The building is nice and well decorated. Our room was small but enough for 2 nights. Bedding could do with an upgrade but it's clean and comfy enough. At night though it's hard to sleep. The windows are thin and being right on the street you hear everything (trams for example). Along with the bright green security light (picture shows brighter than it is but still very bright) you'll need an eye mask and earplugs to get any rest.

Nice place for what we needed. Big room, with big window. We didn’t used the kitchen but it looked nice. The bathroom was tiny. The location right across the train station which is great if you continue traveling, but not in the city main center, is manageable. A lot of stairs, and electronic doors was a bit a downside, but, free and good coffee in the main area, so yeah.
