I can't honestly review the accommodation as I didn't stay. I did however try to confirm a booking with them for a recent one night trip to Edinburgh. I couldn't access my booking through booking.com, it kept saying "there is a problem". Also you could no longer book a stay via that site either. Being a bit wary I organised other accommodation as I couldn't take the risk of having nowhere to stay. They agreed, eventually to a free cancellation which I gratefully accepted. Then they said I didn't accept it and charged me £100 as a no show. Obviously I will be challenging this at the appropriate time. So basically thieving. Be wary as remarkably there is a new property recently "new to booking.com" available.

Cancelled my booking because they tried to take money from my account twice. Avoid like the plague.

Stay away. We booked this via booking com and it was by far the worst experience I had in 20 years of travelling. Unbelievably dirty with a clogged toilet, full trashcans and terrible beds. Seriously a park bench would have been more comfortable. Also insanely overpriced (200 pounds for 1 night for 2 ppl). There was not even a water bottle at the bed or anything for comfort.

This tenant is terrible, though location was really nice. I had stayed here for some months. I tried to ask some repairs to the landlord, but it never worked. The landlord was quite unfriendly and unhelpful. It's not worth paying for the rent. But the location is nice. Anyway I don't recommend this tenant. Too expensive for that quality and for the landlord.

I had been to other places with them and it had been fine. I extended my stay and they gave me a room here and it was really ugly, small and uncomfortable. It is not a good place to stay. Although the location is good there are better places. I would have preferred to pay more for better quality, not pay for this hoax. Sad and horrible. Please DON'T booking here!!!

We had a bad experience at this place. When we arrived at the ApartHotel, there was no staff at the building to host us or to give us some instruction of the accommodation neither about the city. We waited till 3pm to check in (that it is actually a little bit later than other accommodations) and when we called the office number, they replied to us in a very sharp way asking “WHO ARE YOU?”. We replied that we had a reservation and the employee (or maybe the owner?) said that he will send us the code number to open the main door. We waited for about 5 minutes and he didn’t send it. We called him back and he seemed bothered by our call, but we were actually tired and waiting in the middle of the street walk. Finally, the key was there and we could come into the building. Otherwise, we didn’t know our room number, we have to message the employee back, then we didn’t know where the room was located or even how to use the electronically key. It was a total lack of professionalism, no matter how cheap a place can be. When we got at the room, it was dark and the sheets were dirty. We found many items at the closet, like even a drill. There were many stains on the walls. The bathroom was dirty as well, there were no one to clean the mess it was every day we tried to take a shower. It was totally disgusting. I left a bag in the toilet and it disappeared. The smell of the place was unacceptable. As I said, we wouldn’t have been complaining if the service were more Customer Service orientated and treated like guests. No matter how cheap a place can be, but it is importante to sleep in a good environment, clean and tidy.

I didn’t realise this was a 2 star until after booking but that fault is probably my own. The single room I took was with a sofa bed to sleep on. The sofa was really uncomfortable, you couldn’t lye in the middle.. had to be on the side! What I’m upset about however is the fact that I booked it to stay for 2 nights and on my second night (last night) I returned to the apartment around 11.45pm only to find that it had been locked from the inside! I couldn’t get in and there was no bell to ring and no one heard my knocking on the front door. I didn’t call the office number as the opening times were 8am-8pm and also I had called them when I first arrived and couldn’t find the place but they didn’t answer or even call back. Now I’ve told them and shown a receipt that I had to stay in a hostel last night and they keep claiming that the door can’t be locked from inside and that I should have called the office anyway.. but I checked the door this morning when I was able to get back into the apartment and there is a Chubb lock at the top which had to have been locked as I had been able to enter the apartment many times before last night and also I got in this morning. It had to have been locked. I only paid £12 for the hostel and wanted to have that reimbursed to me, just for the principle! But they just seem un co-operative and unreliable. I’ve learnt my lesson to check the quality of a place I will stay in much better next time!! And definitely look at reviews if I want to stay in a guest house again.. It would have been cheaper and much more reliable / safer to have stayed in a hostel. Atleast they have staff available on hand and have a 24 hour reception!
