Location was the only thing it has going for it. We made reservations for the beginning of our trip and the last 2 nights. The first room was ok, small, hot and not the cleanest but we didn't spend much time in the room. The stay at the end of the trip was the worst. The room was so hot and so small you couldn't hardly get the door open to get in the room. That one pitiful fan did not do much. It was in the 50's at night and 90 in the room. I had to stack toilet paper rolls in the window to hold it open to try to cool the room down. We will never stay here again!!!!!

Lovely stay in Edinburgh! The hotel is modern, well-maintained, and in a perfect location for sightseeing. My room was very clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for the city center. The staff were kind and professional, making everything easy and stress-free. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Edinburgh! The room was spotless, cozy, and quiet, providing everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location couldn’t be better for exploring the city, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. I highly recommend this place and would happily return.

Amazing stay! The hotel is perfectly located, just a short walk from Edinburgh’s main attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet — ideal after a day of exploring. The staff were welcoming and helpful, which made the experience even better. I would definitely stay here again!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. We checked in to our room ok for a two night stay. On the second evening we returned to the hotel after an evening out, to find our room key no longer gave us access to our room. The reception desk was closed but we were told there was a 24 hour phone number to contact staff if needed. We spent several hours phoning the number provided but had no response. We left multiple texts and voicemails, and went to neighbouring hotels to see if they had any way of making contact with no success. We were left with no option but to sleep on the floor in the reception area and had no access to a bathroom all night. At around 7am we finally had a call back and were eventually able to access our room using a master key. We had little apology and in spite of multiple promises made by the staff at the time and the manager subsequently, we have not had any of our money refunded. This is completely unacceptable service and I worry for other guests safety in case of ever needing to contact staff in an emergency situation.

The room was overall nice and spacious with 2 sofas and a big bed, the only “issue” was these really nice table lamps on the side bed tables. We asked the receptionist as well, but still, after days, we couldn’t figure out how to turn them on! The location is great and safe.

****ZERO stars**** Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Absolutely cooking in the room, couldn't sleep or enjoy being inside and windows don't open. Roasting hot towel rail 2 inches from the toilet you can't turn off, burnt myself 3 times on it. Really unclean, found 3 dried up contact lenses next to the bed. Painkillers on the floor. Stained sheets with blue dye. 2 huge holes in the floor just covered up by a carpet! Someone could seriously hurt themselves. Absolute garbage DO NOT STAY HERE been in better hostels than this. Would have been more comfortable sleeping in a skip in the street. Photos are very misleading looks nothing like them in real life. Cleaner came banging on the door over an hour before check out on the last morning too while i was still in bed, shouting with extremely limited English. Horrible experience.

Place needs a better looking after, our room was in shambles. Filthy kettle, the shower was leaking, no exhaust in the kitchen

Perfectly situated within the city walking limits. There's an attendant till 6pm at the reception, in case of check in beyond that, the self check in process is very convenient and easy. Rooms are very clean and well maintained.

Stayed in room 6 on ground floor which was a lovely surprise as looking through previous reviews before our visit surprised me. Apart from a few small niggles like blown light bulbs, loose kitchen tap, a kitchen cupboard door with obvious damage from heat rising from hob, curtains which could do with being rehung and some paint on windows being retouched and lace curtains put through a wash cycle. If they had taken the time to sort these things out before our visit I would have no problem with giving a 5* review. Bed was clean and comfy, plenty of towels every day. Enough crockery, cutlery etc for making breakfast etc as suite is for 2 people.
