The Monmarte Suite in downtown (Newtown) Edinburgh was an excellant choice for our group of 5. Each room had plenty of space and our own bathroom. This was a basement apartment in the city. So be advised of steps going down and a bit of road noise and foot traffic about. But we felt safe and secure inside. Our only thoughts are to give more espresso pods (only 2) and some ground coffee (we actually bought some and left it there) and some additional ventilation aids, such as room fans, since it's a bit wet in Scotland. We also think the room decor, mattress and carpet could be updated, it felt well used.

The location was hands down superb, you are within a few minutes walk to all of Edinburghβs attractions. There is no need for a car. Public tram, buses and trains can get you further if needed. Linens clean and space fit our group of 7 well since we were only in the home to really sleep and use the facilities. The only negatives I would provide as constructive criticism is the half bath toilet needs ventilation. The kitchen floor has obviously experienced slight water damage and makes the room look unkempt along with the few stains on the sofa. Close to everything and a great solution for a group of 7 people! Would recommend!

This is a great place to stay while on a holiday to Scotland. First, the location could not be better. All the major tourist sites in Edinburgh are close by, as are dozens of great restaurants and bars, a grocery store (Sainsburyβs), pharmacies, bookstores, and other shopping. Second, the hosts are excellent. Information about check-in, rules for the apartment, and the like, was clear and shared promptly. Questions we had during our stay were always responded to promptly and clearly. Third, the apartment is great for two adults and two children. It was spotless for our arrival and we felt at home immediately. There is a bar below the apartment, but that should not put anyone off. It closes at 11 p.m., and, in any case, can barely be heard from the bedrooms. We never had any issues falling asleep. We would not hesitate to stay there again were we to return to Edinburgh, which we look forward to. We recommend this apartment highly.

Very nice and cozy apartment. Well located, less than 5 minutes walk to the Royal Mile. There are also a lot of restaurants and bars in the area. The apartment was quite big, the kitchen was well equipped, the washing machine and coffee machine were a great bonus. I totally recommend it for those who visit the city and want to experience living in the old town!

Excellent location, so close to the castle, restaurants and pubs. We didn't spend much time in the apartment but the beds were comfy and all the amenities we needed and a coffee machine. We were grateful they had some of the necessities available and the showers worked fine albeit a bit more pressure would have been welcomed. The service from the owners was amazing, answered any and all questions I had quickly and comprehensively. I think the apartment does need a few slight repairs but it is honestly the perfect apartment for a city break with friends. We will likely book again with a large group. Thank you

Great accommodation with a fantastic location. Beds were extremely comfortable (And roomy!) Facilities were also great. Only 'downside' I could say which had no impact on our stay but rather a suggestion we would make was that the floors and some rooms could do with a little 'pick me up'. There were cracks in the floorboards and on some of the walls. Again, this was a non-issue for us personally and thought the accommodation was very reasonably priced during our weekend stay, would highly recommend it! (Note that the stairs to get up to the apartment we stayed in was a fairly steep spiral staircase so there could be some accessability issues but I'm sure that would all have been made clear when booking).

We used this apartment for my sisterβs hen party (9 people) and the apartment was perfect. The separate rooms are perfect for a larger group. The kitchen and bathrooms are perfect and all you need for a weekend away. But most importantly, the location is incredible! So central Edinburgh and it is walking distance to loads of bars, restaurants and attractions. Perfect stay & I couldnβt fault it.

HORRENDOUS experience. Firstly we drove/ walked over an hour to find the apartment as the company had given us the wrong directions (clearly they did not know where their own apartment was) we tried calling their help number twice with no answer! When we arrived into the apartment which was meant to be a luxurious 5 star apartment we found the doors to be broken, dirty walls/ blinds. Mould in the bathroom. TV not working. Glasses dirty. For almost Β£400 for the 1 night they even couldnβt provide complimentary coffee/ tea. I have stayed in nicer 3 star apartments. There was also dirt on our bedding. The walls & doors were creaking, very dated. I can honestly say this is the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. They offered us 20% refund which was Β£78 meaning we still paid Β£312 for 1 night here is unacceptable and will be taking this further with a lawyer for false advertisement. Avoid this accommodation like the plague.

The location is excellent - central and within walking distance of many popular attractions. The flat was well maintained, very clean and spacious. We had everything we needed for our stay - fully equipped kitchen, linens and toiletries. Our host was also very attentive and checked to to make sure we arrived and had what we needed. I highly recommend them and would definitely stay here again!

Caledonian Place - Although the building and hallway could do with some attention, the apartment itself was good . My bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a good shower over the bath, and it was nice to have a well-equipped kitchen and living area to relax in. Easy to share with my colleague, with enough space for us both. A 10-minute walk from our conference venue so very convenient for us, although more of a 30-minute walk or 15-min tram ride to the main attractions in the centre. Lovely cafes and restaurants nearby. Communication with Bonjour Residences was good and responses to queries were quick. It was fairly noisy outside due to bins being emptied/the Edinburgh seagulls (and it was hot so needed windows open).
