Having stayed here a few times i think i will be looking elsewhere. the heating is always faulty and today the kitchen equipment recently serviced was faulty which resulted in no eggs in any form. the frustrating part was the girl in charge of the restaurant thought it was ok for me to not have the poached eggs as planned and had no intention in refunding the breakfast value. que the manager and the refund was duely revieved.

Great staff let down by lack of investment in the building and it's infrastructure. The WiFi in our room was virtually useless, the signal was so low that it kept disappearing. The shower had one of it's doors not attached at the bottom, so you couldn't close it properly. The bath side screen didn't reach down to the top of the bath, so you soaked the floor if you used it's shower. Toilet paper so cheap and thin that you have to fold it 12 times to avoid inadvertently putting your finger through it...yuk. Weirdly, the tv channels were in a very unusual order, meaning that you had to scroll forever to find BBC1 etc. Retuning (a cheap old tv and not a normal hotel tv where you can't do that) made no difference. Sodding annoying. On the second day, the fridge and beverages weren't restocked. Reception made sure that we were resupplied. The room was shabby, furniture was embarrassingly shabby, look at the photos of stitching coming apart and the vinyl trim on the chair falling off. Lots of examples. It is a very long way from being an acceptable standard and the management should be embarrassed. I suspect that it is the fault of the senior management in the company that owns the hotel. The staff can only work with what they have. I was holding back from posting this to give the hotel manager a chance to get back to me, but no response came. Breakfast was good and the restaurant staff were excellent, as were all of the other staff that we interacted with. Don't book unless you are getting an exceptional deal.

Good size room but lots of footstep noise from the floor above. Also the beds are not sturdy and bouncy. When the room was cleaned the coffee and toilet roll were not replenished. On a plus point the food was decent although the bar seemed expensive.

Hotel is in dire need of a refurb/refresh - try to book chain hotels so that cleanliness & service aren’t a worry, unfortunately this franchised Holiday Inn failed to meet even the most basic expectations. Checked into a room with tens of flies lingering in every corner of the room, up the headboard, up the walls, in lamps - reception reluctantly moved us to a new room with the same fly issue around the window outside the door, room also had an AC unit with a loud rattle displaying an error code and unable to be turned off, told we’d just have to deal with it, after persisting that this wasn’t acceptable, we were moved to a third room with no issues other than the poor standards of upkeep and cleanliness in the bathroom. The staff initially explained the fly issue was due to the seasons changing and the fly’s needing somewhere warm to go, the night staff then explained the hotel suffered a massive boiler leak in the weeks prior and they believe the fly issue to be due to the damp, which explains the warped woodwork in the corridor outside our room. Staff couldn’t have appeared to care less if they tried - before writing this review I followed up with the hotel and was ignored, however IHG customer services were responsive, offering IHG points rather than a partial refund - for £200+ for 2 nights, I’d expected a better experience.

Stayed one night after viewing a wedding venue nearby. Chose because it has a pool and spa area. The hotel and room were pleasant enough. No complaints there. Pool area, sauna etc also pleasant. Concern was that despite mobile phones not being allowed poolside, there were several people , all of Asian descent, using them, one so blatantly in the steam room and jacuzzi that we felt so uncomfortable we had to leave. Also walking around in outside shoes. Several young children around too. Complained to staff, if anything happened I don't know.

We spent two nights here as we were attending a wedding in the area. The room was a great size with lots of space for getting ready and relaxing. The bathroom was lovely and spotless! Breakfast was delicious and all staff were friendly and helpful. One issue we had was no remote for the television. We asked about this at reception and were given one that didn't work. This was annoying as we were too tired to go down and ask for a second time so just done without television for our stay.

Had our Christmas work party on Saturday Had been warned by someone that already had been there that the food was terrible and the experience was not nice but I decided to give it a shot regardless. Starting with rude staff. Massively overpriced drinks. They have definitely not enough staff, and due to this Had to close the bar when serving the meals as the baristas were also serving the food. Complete lack of organisation to the point there was people with no drinks on the table when the meal started. Then there was a whole table complaining they had not actually been served any food. And to be fair, they didn't miss much. My entry dish was meant to be some sort of fancy capresse heritage mozzarella salad. Instead after complaining I had not been served yet while everyone else was already eating, I got 2 slices of tomato and the loneliest saddest bit of mozzarella ever (see picture). My main, salmon ravioli, was undercooked and smelled really strong. Was drenched in oil. Left more than half. Dessert was the only thing salvageable. So all in all, would not recommend. Like at all.

Really comfortable bed , big room . Dinner was edible but not particularly enjoyable until we got to dessert . The chef must have forgotten to add the vanilla, sugar and thicken to the extremely pale and runny custard. Breakfast was very good , lots of choice .

Damp smelling unheated room, waited several hours for a plug in heater, this was poorly received after an 8 hour drive to the hotel! The room itself was kitted out for a disabled person, which in itself is of course fine, if you are disabled, otherwise the lower sink levels etc are a little inconvenient, especially as I paid top dollar for my stay. The hope of a good hearty evening meal was to be poorly executed too, food prices would have been fine for a half decent meal, I think my loyal dog would have turned her nose up at what I was served, disgusting, fish was borderline acceptable, the chips however were inedible, no exaggeration, even my waitress agreed with me when I complained, the chips had clearly been reheated, and I would say more than once! Absolute shame on the "chef". I have stayed at many chain hotels, holiday Inn along with the other well known hotels, always for business, and they are usually consistently decent, both in room quality, and dining options, holiday Inn Glasgow however was truly terrible, the 4 star rating is in my opinion grossly misleading.

Nice room & comfy bed. Shame about the noise throughout the night by a few drunken women. The evening meal wasn't up to standard, calamari goujons were over cooked, the rib eye steak had too much fat, my mom's jacket potato was cooked in the microwave & not in the oven, so we left most of it & wasn't worth the money. The breakfast ok. The health facilities good but unfortunately the jacuzzi tub wasn't working as most Holiday Inn's that l have visited in the past always seem to be broken.
