   I’ve been meaning to leave this review for a while now after my stay at the City Centre South hotel, mostly because something I witnessed there has stuck with me far more than your average hotel visit ever would. One evening, a group of drunken troublemakers came through reception and immediately started causing a scene. It wasn’t just the noise or the demands — it was the fact that their behaviour slipped into outright racism and homophobia. Hearing that sort of language in a public space is jarring enough, but seeing it directed at staff who were simply doing their jobs was genuinely disgraceful. What impressed me, though, was how the team responded. They didn’t rise to it, didn’t let themselves be dragged down to that level. Instead, they stood their ground with a kind of calm, steady professionalism that felt almost heroic in the moment. They protected the atmosphere of the hotel, made sure the guests nearby felt safe, and handled hate-fuelled nonsense with more dignity than the people causing it deserved. It was a quiet but powerful reminder of how hard hospitality workers work, and how much they’re expected to shoulder. Once the group had gone, the hotel seemed to breathe again, slipping straight back into its usual warm, relaxed rhythm. My stay itself was lovely — a spotless room, genuinely friendly staff, and a sense that the place is run by people who take pride in doing things right. Seeing the team handle such hateful behaviour with that level of grace only made me admire them more. A brilliant hotel with an even more brilliant staff, and absolutely worth returning to.

   Had an excellent stay and wanted to give a big shout-out to the team, especially Stuart and Devlin. From the moment we arrived, Stuart was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely interested in making sure we had a great time. He gave us brilliant recommendations for places to visit around Glasgow, and his knowledge of the city’s history was honestly amazing. We ended up exploring a few spots he mentioned and loved them—it really added something special to the trip. Dinner was another highlight, and Devlin deserves huge credit for that. The service was outstanding—really attentive and relaxed, perfectly timed, and full of great suggestions. It made the meal feel like an experience rather than just a quick bite, and the food itself was fantastic. Also, a shout-out to the new girl who was working that night—we didn’t catch her name, but she was lovely and handled everything with confidence and a smile. You’d never have guessed she was new. The whole team worked together seamlessly, and it made our stay genuinely memorable. We’ll definitely be back

   What you expect for a premier inn. Clean but worn rooms. Corridors smelt but fresh linen and comfy beds. Room was good size wit tea and coffee provided. Was cheap, easy for centre so can't complain at all. Receptionist super friendly so would definitely stay again.

   The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The bed was perfect and I slept well, eventhough there was a lot of door slamming. The breakfast was basic, and 2 out of 3 mornings, there were no muffins or croissants for ages. They also left the scrambled eggs tray empty for too long. Some of the staff were clearly there to do a job, didn't smile or give eye contact, but Devlin, was lovely. She was always smiling, asked how I was, answered questions and was very professional...definitely manager material. The only other thing that I wasn't pleased with, is the fact that you had to pay £9 a day for parking...that didn't seem right. Would I stay there again...probably not.

   Very pleasant place to stay in Glasgow! Very close to city centre, staff were so friendly and breakfast was amazing, buffet was so good and can help yourself instead of ordering. Nice and modern hotel too.

   It's very average, the biggest disappointment was the road noise (you're near some very busy traffic) leaking through the window fittings and the rooms being rather poorly ventilated. The heating system was pretty damn noisy to sleep near too. Staff were lovely and attentive however, and the location is fantastic

   Stayed here for 1 night, as we were attending a gig at The Old Fruitmarket. Great location, about 15 minutes walk from the gig, and loads of nightlife, which all looked pretty good. Hotel was clean, all the staff we encountered were friendly, and the bar was still open when we got back at 11pm. Breakfast was nice. Parking was £6 overnight, and although it didn't look that secure (no barrier) it was fine. I'd definitely stay there again.

   Standard Premier Inn: clean, comfy, decent-sized rooms - and a fantastic price. The staff were legends: really friendly and fun. A few things were missing from our experience - enough towels, some side veg at dinner, that sort of thing. And the location is… not pretty, and not that near anything so don’t expect to pop round the corner for dinner. But it was great value and we all slept well.
