Mike worked with me to create a fantastic private tour of Islay - not only did he help me get to all the distilleries I wanted to see in the short time I had, but he made it possible to drop by the others that I wouldn’t have been able to get to otherwise. And even better, we went to some beautiful spots along the way that I never would have known about without his help. I truly enjoyed my tour and would definitely recommend Mike as a guide.
I began corresponding with Mike O-Rourke almost a year before our trip to Edinburgh, the Isle of Skye, the Highlands and Speyside. Mike was extremely helpful, patient and responsive. We started with a basic core list of highlights that we wanted to experience and then asked Mike to prepare a 5 day itinerary incorporating our wishes along with his recommendations. We emailed back and forth for a while and settled on a wonderful custom tour package that could also be modified during the trip depending upon weather conditions and how the trip was progressing. We were extremely pleased with the end result and truly enjoyed every moment of the trip. Mike is friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I was especially glad that he was driving once we started traveling the roads in the outlying areas. We highly recommend Mike.
I started communicating with Mike more than a year from when we wanted to book this tour. He was patient, communicative and helped me to craft the perfect 7-day whisky tour across Scotland for my 50th birthday celebration. There were 8 guys - with varying Scotch experience. Mike incorporated all of my requests into the trip - heavy dose of Islay time with a smattering of Highlands and Speyside. We even got to throw in a Lowland distillery. We literally visited 16 whisky distilleries in 7 days and toured the Speyside Cooperage where they make the casks. Mike is extremely knowledgeable about Scottish history and was an amazing tour guide along the way. We had a dedicated driver as well and a very spacious 16-person minibus for our group of 8. The bespoke nature of this tour made it perfect for our group. Mike also recommended the hotels (I booked directly) and they were all excellent recommendations. I can't speak highly enough of this tour. It was everything I thought it would be and more. Mike put up with the shenanigans of a bunch of friends and joined right in.

We did a six day private tour with them. The experience and service was amazing.They handled all accommodations. The tour guide had extensive knowledge of the history of Scotland. My mother traveled in a wheelchair and they made sure she had a perfect experience. I Would highly recommend this company and would use them for future visits.
Experienced the beauty of Inverness and Urquhart Castle in highlands with go Scotland tours and it was amazing! It was a 9 hour day trip. The driver was so knowledgeable and did a continuous 9 hours of audio tour whilst driving which was really great. The coach took necessary breaks and completed the tour on time. Very friendly staff and I highly recommend this tour. Would book again with them to see a different place in highlands next time.

Booking: Nice contact and support via phone. Tour: Very entertaining and instructive tour in a comfortable bus with a safe driver. Our host Gary told the whole trip about the history of each region and special places. Almost without a break - respect. We drove through impressive landscapes and stopped at really photogenic places. The value for money is fair. Absolutely recommendable.
Fully enjoyed the place. Sunny day with broken clouds. Bit cold temperatures. No wind. So it all added up to make it a good experience. Would love to visit again sometime and spend more time here.
