Good knowledge from staff & pharmacist. Despite setting up reminders for prescriptions many times, still not done. Can take a long time 3-4 days to get a prescription
I am on 11 tablets for heart and blood pressure issues. I am also prone to gout now and again. As I have a bad instance of gout over Christmas I contacted NHS today after calling my local GP surgery as I was unable to get an appointment/prescription with GP on New Years eve in the afternoon. My gout was particularly painful. NHS 24 suggested I went to a local Pharmacy who would be able to give me some medication to ease the pain until my GP practice reopened. I therefore went to Boots in Broxburn and asked if I could by some gout medication over the counter. The sales assistant hadn't listened to me and thought I was Mr Gout looking for my prescription. Although the pharmacy was about when the sales assistant was serving me she (the pharmacist) was very dismissive and very abrupt and offered no help whatsoever. I was totally astounded and and shocked at the total lack of support and the sales assistant told me to call the GP surgery in the New Year. I wasn't given any advice on any alternative tablets such as Ibrufen, Parecetomal could buy to ease the pain I am in.
Very helpful staff, sorted my repeat prescription for me in seconds, Lloyds send the bloody thing to England so you have to wait for 8-10 days most times which is obviously as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike...
Very nice staff very friendly always egure to help and know lots of good advice if they don't have what u need in store they will try there best to order it in for u
Friendly staff and the pharmacist was very helpful with my enquiries regarding pain management. It was nice of him to take the time and consideration to assist me. I know at times they can be busy but I've had to visit a lot in recent months and they always give me good advice no matter how difficult their day has been. Thank you

Great customer service, staff extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing is ever a bother for them.
What can I say, always a pleasure to pop into my local Boots store. Always made welcome and always someone happy to assist where required. Great little pharmacy Minor ailments available etc
