   Went on a Friday night, security check very normal, welcoming, nothing tight, friendly staffs, music was good, not so much people though but it was ok and enjoyable, drinks are not expensive, tequila shot 3£, double vodka 8£, better for group of friends

   Farud alert!! They are scammers and fraud. They charged me and my friends double without informing us and later refused to admit or refund. Save yourself and go to other places. They are scammers!!

   We visited Edinburgh’s famous bongo and had the most stupendous of evenings, our server John was extremely fast with our delicious alcoholic beverages (2 pints and a lovely tequila shot) as-well as being a real gentleman and a true perfectionist when pouring a pint being trained in none other than Marseille. The dance floor was spectacular when it came to enjoying a quick boogie the atmosphere was like no other and the music was prodigious, the musical composer (disk jockey for this day) may be the best I’ve ever heard, the music worked very well while I danced the famous ‘robot’ dance. If you want the greatest of nights/evenings then bongo is the venue you are looking for.

   I went to Bongo for Hogmanay/new years eve. I am from Norway and went there with a friend of mine. The music is good. It is 2 floors if i remember correctly. So the first floor is more tehcno type. The 2 floor is more the typical nightclub music and vibe. It is not a very big club but still a nice place. Mostly people in their early 20s and 18-19s. All the bartenders, bouncers and the rest of the crew were really polite and cool to us. So i have nothing bad to say. I will come back and visit Bongo next time i visit Edinburgh.

   I had a great nite there but unfortunately my friend got wasted & I would like to thank the 2 female bouncers who looked after her for hours making sure she was safe & hydrated after puking up everywhere. All the Bongos staff are super chilled.

   Absolute waste of money. £12 each for tickets to a "hardcore DnB night" but didn't expect there to be just like 10 people stood around in a room not even dancing. No atmosphere, no excitement, just a waste of a night.

   Where do I start... last century. The chilled out underground vibe and banging beats of the Bongo Club have kept me returning since drum n bass was called jungle... the doorman Pete ain't just the gatekeeper, he is the manager, curator and purveyor of fine beats. My name is the The Mighty Gareth, I love drum n bass and I'm a funking raver... go to The Bongo Club Edinburgh coz it will lift you up and chill you out. X

   I second every comment re. bouncer attitude over there. Physical assaults happen for no actual reason, based on abuse of power. It's still an open question whether the bouncers are also managers (as they claim when asked and as others have written here) - if that's the case, good reason to never visit again. Moreover, they've got the support of the police (or people who claim to be the police) which is waiting outdoors. Thankfully, there's plenty of much better (and underground) venues offering equally good music nearby. These guys should try a career as Daredevil stunts.
