Went there for my birthday super excited. Absolute vibes for jazz lovers, date nights, and anyone seeking an impeccable atmosphere. Unfortunately, my experience was let down by the service. Due to a simple misunderstanding over drinks, one of the bartenders—particularly the woman serving me—was unnecessarily cold and rude. I ordered two drinks, received the first, and when a second drink was placed in front of me, I assumed it was mine without realizing it belonged to someone else. Instead of handling the situation discreetly and professionally, I was called back to the counter and publicly embarrassed, with the bartender pointing at me and telling the other customers, “He took your drink,” in a very childish manner. It’s a real shame, as poor customer service like this can easily damage an otherwise excellent venue. I strongly suggest investing in better customer service training, as the staff should enhance—not ruin—the venue’s great reputation.

Went here last night and saw THE SINNERS FT. FIONA LYNCH. Honestly had such an amazing night the band were all so talented and had such a great setlist. I was on my feet from the first song. I didn’t try any food or drinks inside, I just went for the jazz concert. So, I can’t say anything about the menu, but the vibe is really cool! It’s a small venue where everyone sits to enjoy the concert, and after the show, it turns into a nightclub. They clear some of the chairs, and then everyone starts dancing, it gets pretty wild! It’s a great bar if you want to enjoy live music and dance afterward. The entry fee is £10, but it’s definitely worth it.

If you are a Jazz lover, definitely check this place out. Don't think for a min. Just go. The ambience is perfect and the band is incredible. We went on a Thursday night in February at 9.30 pm and found the last table. They don't have food except for a few munchies. Drinks, ambience, music, and vibe all 5 stars.

A small basement bar with regular jazz performance every night. Quality shows usually and great vibe at the place. Also featured as one of the venues during the annual Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival. The range of drinks was not too wide but what we had were good anyway. Classic Jazz bar. It was 11 GBP in. Great music. Limited seats. Cocktails, standard and special. A wide selection of beers, ciders and some special stouts. It’s all about the music though. Nice friendly crowd . Very safe crowd. Friendly staff.
