Terrible practice. If you're one of the ones lucky enough to actually get through after an hour on hold you'll be aggressively dissuaded from making any appointments and fobbed off as much as possible. Even if you get through all that you'll need to convince disinterested medical staff there's something worth investigating rather than just throwing some pill/cream at you to get you out as fast as possible. I made the mistake of registering here and now other practices in the health center can't take me on as a patient (believe me, I've tried). To anyone looking for a good gp to register with, avoid Adam avenue like the plague.

This surgery needs serious help. Far too many patients and too many mistakes being made. They will cause people to become more seriously ill and end up being sent to hospital because they cannot cope and keep making mistakes. From reading comments and hearing about complaints being made it seems like nothing has been done.

Whilst I no longer remain a.patient of this dreadful practice i can confirm that having made a complaint to the Scottish government about this practice little has changed. Some of the doctors should not be allowed to practice medice and treat patients with neglect and contempt. I got thrown out of this failing practice a couple of years ago, because I had the audacity to make a genuine and polite complaint. So I went to see my MSP Neil Grey) about this so called Doctors practice, he took my complaint seriously and he wrote to them with regards to my earlier complaint. They didnβt respond the manageress probably tore it up and filed it in the bucket not wanting any of the more senior staff to see the complaint, is my guess.. but having been giving an adequate opportunity to respond to MSP Neil Greys letter they made no response.. Mr Gray took it upon himself to visit Adam Avenue. I wasnβt privy to the conversation that took place but I would imagine that the manager would be full of inaccurate information and denials. I would have thought that some good might have come out of a Ministerial vist, but it appears that nothing has changed. The manager even threatened me with legal action, what a shame she didnβt take it. Just look at the reviews that this doctor surgery gets a mere 2 on Google reviews. Something need to be done about this awful practice, it would appear that they think that they are a law unto themselves, when they should be answering the phones and treating patients with the CARE AND RESPECT that they deserve.I have witnessed trying to call the surgery and the phone doesnβt get answered and when I walked into to surgery with my phone still ringing nobody could be seen to be taking any telephone calls. I would not be surprised that if in the near future that some sort of legal action will be taken against a senior doctor at this practice, for neglecting a patientβs medical needs.

Worse practice ever, they make you wait an hour or more before they answer. Once you eventually reach out to them they tell you all the routine appointments are taken.I have bee trying to get an appointment for months still didn't manage!

If you are able to see a GP or a nurse they are usually very good. However getting an appointment is almost impossible. Reception staff don't care and talk downwards to you with complete disdain. The practice needs to modernise it's booking system (potentially online) and bypass reception where possible. At present 'emergency appointments' can only be booked over the phone between 08:00 and 10:00 with 'routine appointments' over the phone from 10:00. But in reality it's whoever can blag an appointment with the reception staff first.

Impossible to get an appointment. Phone at 8am - 30th in queue - when you eventually get through no appointments. Told to phone back next and the saga goes on. Even calling into surgery, personally , all appointments gone by 9am.Told to call back next day. No wonder A&E is overwhelmed with patients, as no one is able to book a GP appointment. Still unable to get an appointment.

Ive been phoning the practice every morning from Monday 8am ( day 5 today) trying to get an appointment- they cant book appointment over the phone and advised that need to call in the morning if there is anything available, Every day I can hear there is no appointment left and if I need medical assistance then need to go to E&A. Looking at the reviews of this clinic its tell a lot ! Absolutely shocking!

I was coming to this practice from England, so needed a prescription urgently. They told me it would be 7 days until I could register fully and get it, said there was no way to gout me an emergency prescription at all. My medication is not a controlled substance and has VERY severe withdrawal effects, so I couldnβt go without it for even a few days. I called 111 and they told me that the GP were obligated to help me and I could them if they didnβt, my local pharmacy said the same. When I called after a week, they told me it would be another week, and refused any help again. I was practically begging for any information on what to do, and the receptionist just told me to register with another GP and got angry when I told her that was ridiculous because Iβd already waited for longer than they promised and everyone had told me they were obligated to help. Iβve switched now but I had to get a prescription from my GP in England, which was a nightmare. Genuinely one of the most stressful experiences of my life. Completely unhelpful and frankly negligent. Iβve switched GPs as soon as I could.

The practice is working agains patients and not for them. Their "system" is far from helping people. Trying to make a routine apointment for my mum for a week now, once I got through on a specific day at a specific time after 8am they tell me to wait for a phone call as the doctor will call me. Absolutely ridiculous , people work and are not able to hang on the phone all day. Someone should take reposibility for that, big shame Adam Avenue!

Terrible service they don't care at all, I'm young and don't get not well alot but I have some serious things going on and not one person on the phones or doctors want to do anything to help, this surgery should be shut down as no one cares enough for the urgency for some people to get treatment. I have been on the phone for over half an hour now and still nothing this place is a joke. Receptionist no help what so ever all I was told was I have to go to the hospital but the hospital tell you you have to go to your doctors, not one person in this surgery wants to help anyone the place needs shut down 110% and I know I'm not the only one that thinks this, I will be taking this further if I get a diagnosis for something serious as it is these useless people people fault for not helping !!!!!
