When I arrived at Specsavers Kirkintilloch, I was greeted warmly and courteously, even though it was 9.30 on a horribly bleak morning. I was attended to promptly (in fact, I think I was taken early) and had all the usual tests done plus the £10 scan. Everything was thoroughly explained to me. I then waited all of two or three minutes before I was shown into the optometrist, who carried out my eye test. I loved how she explained exactly what I was seeing on the eye scan. I was recommended new spectacles for medium-distance use (for computer work), but there was absolutely no pressure to choose new frames, though I did choose a pair then and there. I collected the glasses a week later, and they are brilliant. I'm just so pleased with them and my visit to Specsavers Kirkintilloch.

Also, when I experienced a serious retina issue, it was diagnosed & referred for further examination immediately. And, my glasses are fine quality at a pleasant price...so would definitely recommend!
Jack was pleasant and explained everything. He showed me comparison photos of my eyes which showed no change which was very reassuring. I was not pressured into buying new glasses as my prescription had hardly changed. It would have been a score of 10 if the assistant had called me by my name instead of saying something like yes you next!
Went to get my yearly check up. And was advised that I require new glasses. As I get glasses from another source and have the prescription they have me to get glasses made up. Few weeks later after a "breaking in period" I still had a slight blurry vision .I put it down to recover from a heavy cold and it might take longer. As the weeks went on and recovered from the cold my vision was still the same. I went back to the shop explain the problem, they checked my glass and advice the glass had a issue with them. On returning to the person who supplied me the glasses ( for over 5 years) found no issue but to be safe they replaced the lenses. Cutting it short. Went for a second opinion had my glasses and eye tested and the new opticians found that Specsavers gave me the wrong prescription . I will now no longer use Specsavers and not recommended them . They are supposed to recheck your eyes if you have any issues....they didn't . Further more my friend had the same problem from same shop. So I was not the only person involved . The question is how many other customers are involved with wrong prescription.
The whole team were friendly and made me feel at ease. When it came to selecting glasses, the assistant was very patient and helpful in choosing them with me

Amazing staff! My husband had a epileptic fit and broke his glasses late on Sunday. I ran up and they fixed them no problem like new again! Can’t thank them enough. Amazing customer service.
