Really friendly and helpful staff in a welcoming professional store. I had managed to bend the hinge on my glasses and thought they were irretrievable. Not so. The young man who assisted was excellent. It as no trouble to him and he reassured me that he would do his best. He did. Glasses all back to normal. Thank you

Very friendly staff, helping from the moment you enter the shop. Patient and willing to spend time making sure you get the glasses you need. Felt listened to and confident my glasses will be what I was looking for. Lots of good choices and variety. Been going for years now and will continue to do so

It is a very convenient location and I managed to get booked in for an eye test for the following day which was great. Unfortunately the person making my booking made an innocent comment about my DOB which totally threw me off and made me very self conscious for the rest of my time there and that carried through to the next day. The following day, I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment time, I sat myself in the waiting area as the staff members on the floor were deep in conversation. After waiting for around 30 minutes, several people who had arrived after me had been called and taken for their eye tests. The person that booked my appointment asked me what I was here for, I said an eye test and they responded with "oh did you not sign in?" - No, I did not sign in as that was not made clear at any point, nor could I see any signage that would suggest I needed to sign in. Another member of staff then came over and asked how long I had been waiting and apologised. She noticed I was having difficulty walking and offered alternatives to the stairs which I very much appreciated. The optometrist, I think his name was Alan, was brilliant. He explained things to me clearly and for the first time I feel like I understood the issues with my eyes and what my prescription means. He took time to demonstrate. He was very thorough with his exam and patient when I was unsure. Unfortunately this positive experience with the optometrist was soured by the other members of staff. After my eye exam I was taken back upstairs to look at frames. I feel like some of the staff members on the shop floor made a lot of assumptions about me. There was no conversation about budget other than me asking if I could get new lenses in my current frames and the general impression I got was new frames would be better and my current frames are essentially rubbish. I did not understand why I needed lens coatings. I felt pressured to pick more expensive options than I could really afford and I felt rushed into making a decision immediately about frames I would be wearing for the next 5 years. I did not feel comfortable saying I was on a tight budget. I ended up leaving an order note, intending not to come back. I felt the priority was to sell, not understanding my needs and good customer service. I went to a Specsavers branch I have previously bought from and there I received outstanding customer service and professionalism. I was made to feel at ease and not judged. The same unfortunately cannot be said for my Sauchiehall Street experience. I will not be back. I do not wish to discuss this further unless you're offering a significant discount.

The staff here are fantastic and remember my name from previous visits. I love the care and attention at this branch as well as the brilliant range they have. The shop always looks busy but is also visually very clean as well as welcoming. The optometrists there really take their time with you and I never feel rushed.

Friendly staff from my experience. It's a nicely presented shop which most specsavers are. I'm not impressed by the growing prices or by the waiting time for contact lense checks. The staff all seem to be doing their best and are almost certainly not at fault but every time I've been I've had to wait 15-20 minutes for my appointment despite showing up on time.

Poor Service. 3 times have been asking for repeat rescription for eyes drops. Because I have got Blepharitis. The first time on Saturday 19th March the The reception told me the audiologists would sent letter to My Heath Centre. And I was in 21st. The reception told me the letter posted to your local health Centre. And today they not received the letter at my local health centre. And I was in today after 13:00 and reception told she would up Chase it up contact me contact me later on. And I'm still waiting for them to contact me. Plus my eyes are okey at moment.

Scott (manager) in the Sauchiehall Street store spoke to me with zero respect and treated me like I wasn’t even a human being. Do not recommend at all. He should not be engaging with the public in any way shape or form. He did not listen to the issue I had experienced, cut me off numerous times, insulted me, did not acknowledge or apologise his mistake (even though Specsavers customer services advised it was not an acceptable issue to have experienced) and told me to leave the store as a resolution. His colleague took over and had a much better experience with her. Shocking that Specsavers employs individuals like Scott in managerial roles.
