Good food, friendly and customer oriented staff, dated rooms. Central building is noisy when there are activities or celebrations in downstairs. The other buildings are quiet and pleasant.

I did a late booking on a saturday very clean rooms, helpful staff we had a pleasant stay. Unfortunately due to the lateness of the booking we were in a room which was down a long corridor which was a bit tatty and in need of a bit of a refurbishment. However we enjoyed our stay, the room was reasonably priced and the accommodation and staff were nice.

Enjoyed our 1 night stay - ideal for visiting Hamilton Races. Room was comfortable, breakfast was very good. Price was spot on, made to feel welcome, Would recommend

This hotel calls themselves as 3 star hotel when they don’t have any air conditioning in any room, this is not even mentioned on their website. We have to open the windows all day long to get air in middle of August, and anyone can see us clearly inside our room especially while we are sleeping which is very uncomfortable feeling. The room is old and molds in bathroom, no one helps you to find your room which caused us rolled our luggages around and around to finally found our rooms behind three more unmarked doors like you are in a maze!! The price is not cheap for $115 a night with no AC and breakfast with $20 more?? Parking is hard to find available spot. I would not recommend this hotel!

My friend and I stayed at this hotel two weeks go and have to say how impressed we were. The evening menu was extensive with a seperate selection of Pasta dishes etc. The food tasted homemade and freshly cooked and whatever we chose was never a disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed both evening meals and the breakfast. The staff that served us were all very efficient and served us with a genuine smile. They have a good selection of wines too. There was also another restaurant 'Milano' where you could choose from the menu in a more informal setting. They also did Italian nights. Apparently they do not offer sandwiches lunchtime only meals ans as we were dining there in the evenings we only wanted something light. Fortunately the owner was there so she kindly arranged with the waiter some sandwiches for us. ( Might be worth putting on the menu?)The rooms were clean and bed very comfortable but pillows where like sleeping on boards ( so must be changed) but next day when we requested softer pillows they were on the bed that evening! (but I feel it really isn't necessary to change towels so often ...even when I didn't place used towels as per Notice...they still changed them. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and can highly recommend this family run hotel as I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Jane Nicholson Mark Starling.

Stayed overnight as having a family "do" there. Our room was very cold but the food was great. Evening service really good with friendly attentive staff unlike breakfast. Waitress was not engaging at all. More interested in chatting to other guests than attending to us. When she did there was very little eye contact or customer interaction. Obvious she doesn't like her job.

A really great lunch, in lovely surroundings. Friendly and helpful staff. On making a general enquiry about the function suite we were very kindly shown it! A stunning room. Highly recommended for a lot more than just lunch!

My partner and I booked a double room for a stay in Hamilton while attending a friend’s wedding nearby. There’s few options in the area and we opted to support a local business as opposed to big chain hotels. The room was spacious but and the shower pressure was good. But there is little else to get excited about regarding the stay. The bed is satisfactory but room is dated and there’s an odd smell to the room - not unpleasant but not pleasant either. The hotel just needs a massive uplift.

Two different reviews: Restaurant- absolutely a very good Italian restaurant. Superb mushroom risotto, pasta, pizza and the Amarena Cherry Sundae was just the best. Rooms - very outdated, needs a massive improvement. The room walls are thin, takes forever to heat the shower, tiny TV, etc.
