My stay at this hotel was booked through a travel agency for me and my parents, and we arrived late at night after a long journey. We had booked a triple room with a sofa bed for me. Unfortunately, the sofa bed was broken and had a slope, making it impossible to sleep on. The staff initially tried to help and admitted it shouldn’t be like that and they knew the sofa bed in one of the rooms had an issue. I asked for any solution, and the staffs said they could check for an extra room or bed just for the night but stated that they don't have any rooms available. I got hold of the manager but the manager was extremely rude and refused to help unless I paid for another room, even though the broken bed was their responsibility and not my fault at all. Their demeanor was extremely rude as well. After hours of frustration, I contacted my tour guide who intervened, and suddenly they had a "last minute cancellation" and another triple room was available for us. While I appreciate the staff who initially tried to assist, the manager’s behavior was completely unacceptable. I was exhausted, and I’ve never been treated so rudely anywhere before. The situation was only resolved because I escalated it. I hope the hotel improves by checking rooms properly and training management to be more understanding. I would not recommend staying here. Edit: I stayed there July 31 - August 3 with Star Tours.

Yes, there were a few niggles with the room. There usually are in any hotel. But it was good for the price we paid. What set it apart was the level of service. The older guy with the beard (may have been the manager?) was killing it. He checked us in, served us drinks and was still there at breakfast time, seemingly doing 3 or more jobs while the place was mobbed with coaches. And the breakfast was lovely, with a cracking coffee from the machine.

Where this hotel has lost points with me is they gave me a room with a single bed and that’s not what I was expecting and when I raised it with them they offered no compromise. The hotel does look unattractive, dated and unkempt. The room itself was actually a fairly decent standard for a Holiday Inn Express, was clean and presentable. No air conditioning and no fridge and a box of tissues would have been nice. The breakfast was also pretty good… but I was there early. I loved the squirrels playing in the grass and trees right outside my window!

Such a lovely stay an amazingly warm welcome from Harry and Kiera who looked after us so well during our stay. Thank you to you both you are stars! The bar is lovely for a drink and a great breakfast as well. Bedrooms were spotless good size and lovely only down side was very warm and window opening restricted so felt a little stuffy.

I stayed in this hotel on my visit to Scotland for the first time with my children on my sons birthday. I walked in on my own with a 2 year old and 9 month old and a suitcase, and yes missed the signs for pay parking. This is not something that I've come across before when staying at a hotel, however I would not have minded at all paying the fee if I was informed about it on arrival. The receptionist didn't bother to tell me on check in or check out about paying for this ticket and thus resulted in me having to pay £100 fine a fee weeks later after an unfortunate bill arrived in the post. On top of that the rooms are not functioning for a family so I would not recommend. The sofa bed when pulled out makes it impossible to walk past resulting in my son getting a bumb on the head. Also take some sanitary wipes, especially in you want to use the TV remote, ours had mould on it.

Great location, good room and they take dogs. Area to take dog round the back and also right next to the park. Very noisy when I stayed but it was Hogmanay to be fair. Management were great and issued a partial refund.

Nice stay, rooms where immaculate, very clean. Everything youd expect was present and working well in the room! Had a really nice sleep, bed was really comfy ! Asked for more tea bags and milk which the staff happily obliged too ! I'd also forgotten my toothpaste and the hotel supplied me some free of charge which I thought that was a nice touch. Bar area was a great for evening drinks too ! Felt sorry for the staff come breakfast time for the mess the visitors had caused in the eating area because they couldn't clean up after themselves. Some of the visitors need to act like grown adult human beings and not animals in the zoo at feeding time. Would definitely stay again !

Had to use the bathroom urgently so I parked up (plenty of spaces). I CONFIRMED WITH THE STAFF that despite not staying at the hotel would it be OK if I used their facilities and they said it was fine. 2 weeks later I had a £100 fine for parking at the hotel. With everything happening just now I just think it's really shady. We're all sruggling enough as it is without this nonsense. I feel like I've being completely taken advantage of. I tried to contest the fine but they refused. It's just a bit rubbish, isn't it? No empathy. no compassion. I wouldn't reccomend this company.
