Little gem of urban pub nested in a quiet street of town centre with superb ambiance, well stocked bar and open fire. Exceptionally sympathetic and attentive staff. Very good breakfast. Small free car park. Comfortable and clean room. Shower just a bit anemic. An urban retreat of comfort.

We had an absolutely perfect experience here. Close to city center, 15min walk from both train stations, off the main road so it was quiet and cozy. Food was amazing, drink selection was bountiful, and the staff was kind and knowledgeable. Babbity Bowster has been added to it our "always when able" list. Luke and Harry and everyone else gets a solid recommendation and appreciation.

This small hotel boasts an unbeatable location, right next to Merchant City. I have stayed here on a couple of occasions, and each visit has been consistently excellent. The room is always very comfortable and fully equipped, offering everything necessary to truly feel at home. What I value most is the consistent quality of the service: the staff was spectacular. Their help, kindness, and professionalism made me feel genuinely welcome. Highly recommended for a comfortable city getaway with outstanding customer service.

I have to admit, I was slightly apprehensive about staying above a pub, however, my stay couldn't have been better! Check in was easy and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Special shout out to the guy at breakfast and checkout. Room 5, a single room, had everything I needed for an over night stay. Comfy bed, plenty of tea/coffee/water and spotlessly clean I don't know how long the hotel has been open but everything felt very new, from the luxurious carpet to the USB A & C wall sockets. I had expected a bit of rowdiness on a Friday night but it was very quiet and I had no trouble sleeping at all. Breakfast was simple but everything I needed; cereal, loads of fresh fruit (where do the sauce the huuuuge blackberries!), yogurt, toast and one of the best coffees I've had in a long time. It's a shame I didn't get chance to try the meals in the pub (I had arranged to meet friends elsewhere) but if I'm here again, I'll definitely give that a try. I arrived by train but there is parking available. Finally, I love the sense of humour on the notes left in the room (-:

My parents and grandparents have always liked this pub. While they have extended the menu so there is a bigger variety of food options I was a bit let down by the Cajun Chicken Sandwich which the chicken seemed a little bit plain. Came with a decent portion of chips and salad though. My mother really enjoyed her smoked haddock pattee and the staff are extremely friendly. May not be to my personal taste but still a good establishment.

It was exceptional and a real highlight of our visit to Glasgow. The choice yesterday and quality of food was excellent - we loved the “insulting” descriptions on the menu. What made it stand out for us was the lovely, helpfully staff - all three of them, but especially the fellow with the “average staff” t- shirt, and also the fast and attentive service. Second course was served after only 40 minutes. I wish we had been years ago

Great pub with excellent outside space. A small selection of three real ales (ie proper beers!) on tap. Decent food too.

Cosy pub with good range of beers and good quality food. Reasonably priced. Guinness was very drinkable. Friendly staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere for a Sunday evening out. Really enjoyable place.

We stayed here while visiting Glasgow. It was a fantastic little inn. The location is perfect. The food and service were absolutely top notch! I would highly recommend this to everyone either looking for a place to stay or have a pint.
