The experience at this hotel was incredibly disappointing. The rooms were filthy, with dirt and grime everywhere, which made it clear that they weren't properly cleaned. To make matters worse, I found bugs lurking under the carpets, which is absolutely unacceptable for any establishment. The overall lack of cleanliness and hygiene made my stay uncomfortable and uninviting. The staff didn’t welcome anyone and their racist behavior was shocking, making the atmosphere even more hostile. It was hard to relax knowing that the environment was so neglected and the service so unwelcoming. For anyone considering this hotel, I would strongly advise against it, as the poor conditions and disrespectful staff made it a truly unpleasant experience.

-1 stars if I could, this hotel is so horrible !!!!!!! Disgusting Disgusting !!!!! Found hair on the breakfast, also they gave us a very tiny room. The covers are dirty, there were insects, and we had rashes and itchiness (I bet it’s the products they use to wash the clothes and bed sheets). They do not have any professionalism at all. They are so clueless that I was shocked , this stay was a nightmare since we had to stay for 4 months because we didn’t have a choice !!!!!!!!!!! The staff are so bad and ignore you when you need help (with a very few exceptions) . The manager was so bad at the beginning of our stay, he just welcomed us so badly when we were at a period of extreme distress. PLEASE, reconsider your services and behaviours, it is an absolutely ridiculous NONSENSE !

Dont go to this hotel. Very bad, the rooms were very dirty and smelly, there was dust everywhere. The bathroom was terrible, especially the carpets were full of insects. My biggest mistake was to read the comments and stay in this hotel. I stayed one night and when I woke up, there were insects crawling on my body in the bed. Then the rash and itching started. I reported the situation and the room was cleaned and they told me that your room was ready and announced it, but unfortunately the room was not cleaned. I took the remaining belongings from the room and threw everything in the trash because it was infested with insects. I was taken to the hospital emergency room the same day, unfortunately I was poisoned. The breakfast was terrible and the children made noise in the corridor at night. It was the biggest and worst time of my life. A lot of people stay in such hotels, they need to be inspected or closed. Please choose safe, clean places.

Room stank of stale smoke, windows did not close properly, noisy all night. Staying on the third floor one lift not working the other if you were able to get it on your floor took an age to get anywhere. Door closers too strong every time you left the room the door slammed shut making a lot of noise for the other guests. Looks like it is being used as a stopgap for foreign refugees etc.

Shower was mouldy on arrival and manager was very rude, he told me I should’ve asked for it to be cleaned sooner even though it should not have been in this condition in the first! Cleaning staff have not offered their hospitality once leading in overflowing bins and no fresh towels. Staff were asleep on their shift during the night. Pressure on the shower is terrible and water goes cold after only 5 mins. Unfortunately I was not here by any choice of my own but I 100% would never recommend this hotel, and will be taking it further as the manager had a foul attitude to me.

Excellent location, walking distance from Central railway station. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Rooms are small, but sufficient for overnighting. Bathroom is well designed. There is an electric kettle with tea, coffee and milk. Also, hair dryer is available. There were no table, but staff provided one when I asked for.

Don't be put off by the security guard or going back to the 80's when you get out the lift. The rooms are superb and we had a super king, with memory foam and an awesome shower. Loved the room

So on first impressions this hotel is quite odd and slighly spooky, the reception area is in need of refurbishment. However, staff and security were all lovely and super helpful. We (a couple) got a room with four beds in it which was a bit strange but comfy and plenty of room. We also had a coffee table and chairs as well as a desk. The bathroom was clean, plenty of towels and a brilliant shower. Quiet at night despite being on Argyle St. Overall great value and a good place to stay in central Glasgow, nearby parking on Jamaica St for £10 per 24 hours also very reasonable.

We got a refurbished almost new room so cleanliness was not an issue. The breakfast was ok, a bit spicy for our taste. The building front and entrance are old but the rooms, the new one are great. Heating should be controllable, we could not find it how to turn it down and the 118 was quite a noisy room as it had the window looking at the main roads near by. And if there is a wind you’ll feel the need of the old windows replacement as it gets very noisy. But great value for the money for sure .

Quite nice hotel. Excellent location half block from Central Station and pretty close to the city centre. The staff was really attentive and helpful. Full English every morning and delicious biscuits in the room. The lift was a bit moody though, but it was just a minor detail. Stayed there a second time this year and had the same experience. Really comfortable rooms, they added a spare bed for a friend at very low cost. Staff is friendly and ready to help. Only thing, old tap system in the shower makes it difficult to combine hot and cold water. But I'd keep coming every year!
