Does what it says on the tin. At the end of the day this is a three star hotel so you shouldn't be expecting the ritz. Be warned it says there's on street parking if their carpark is full but on street is a 3 hour max stay. The room was clean and well presented. A special shout out to the head housekeeper running breakfast as she was super friendly and attentive. Breakfast was slighlty below average as it was clearly cheap meat and wasn't kept very hot. The rooms dropped 2 stars for the following: It was really noisy from traffic. We only found out on the last day this was because the upper window wasn't properly shut which we couldn't have closed anyway. The mattress whilst comfy was far too small for the frame and had pillows stuffed down the back. The shower did a weird thing where it would alternate between cold to super hot then back to the temp you wanted. Service dropped a star as other guests were asking reception for advice on local amenities and it was clear they didnt have a clue. When we returned in the evening we said hello to reception but he was too focused on his phone. All in all if your crashing for a night to go somewhere like the ovo it's ideal but I wouldn't stay for a week on holiday.

I cannot say enough positive things about our stay at the Argyl Hotel. The location was central enough to be accessible to everything we wanted to do. The breakfast was very good. We wanted to extend our stay and the front desk people made sure we could stay. The best thing about the hotel is the warmth and caring of everyone who took the time to talk with us and attend to all our needs. My wife sprained her ankle and they went downstairs to the restaurant to get her ice.

Rooms are fairly basic but clean and comfortable - no mini fridge, no safe, no toilet brush! Very good location near city centre, with good near by amenities. Issues with limited parking, made up by very friendly staff, both at reception and in the restaurant Also a very good breakfast and comfortable beds!

Liked · Lovely hotel with large rooms and bathrooms, plenty of space for 2 travelers and their luggage. Décor was very cool and bed was very comfortable. Super walkable to many attractions, places to eat, and the bus system Disliked · Only downside was our shower door didn't seal very well causing water to leak on the floor

Room was nothing like what pictures on website show. Clean enough except for carpet . One of the 2 beds in room had a dreadful mattress, could feel every spring. Ceiling in corridor looked like it had had a leak and was all stained with smoke alarm hanging loose. Mentioned mattress to guy on departure and he said nothing just smiled. Girl who checked us in was lovely. Hotel is in a great location.

My room was warm, clean and comfortable, it could benefit from an update but was perfectly acceptable for a short stay. However I would strongly advise anyone who's booked for a stay to take some earplugs with them as even though double glazing appears to be present, the road noise is still extremely loud! And although much quieter, I could still hear staff and other guests talking throughout the night. Plus points are a 24hr manned reception, on site restaurant and the option of single rooms at a very reasonable rate. It's a perfect location for anyone who's visiting the Kelvingrove Museum, Botanic Gardens, exploring the University grounds and especially attending an event at the SSE Hydro as it's a small fraction of the cost in comparison to others nearby and would happily use again for that purpose.

Great location, massive room, comfy bed. Helpful staff, good breakfast. Only downside was the noise from outside. I am not used to noise at night as where we stay is very quiet with no road noise. Next time I would take earplugs.

The room was clean. Breakfast was good; the girls there were attentive and never stopped. We were going to the Ovo Hydro and found it just a fifteen minute, easy walk, away, so an ideal situation. Would definitely go again.
