Unfortunately, the morning receptionist is really unprofessional. He talks like he’s shouting and doesn’t even give you a chance to respond, and his way of dealing with guests just isn’t appropriate. But honestly, the rest of the hotel staff are amazing, very professional and really kind.

Stay far away from this dirty place my room had many many bed bugs, now I’m using cream and tablets just to make my skin better and go back to normal and they’re also so rude and they don’t know the manners and disrespectful, they’re just after the money it’s very bad and very old building from inside, I found many bed bugs myself so don’t spend even a penny on this disgusting hotel if you sleep in the street will be much cleaner and safer than this dirty place, they have a Disrespectful manager and a boss without any manners. This hotel has: ZERO SERVICE, ZERO MANAGEMENT. DISGUSTING, DISRESPECTFUL, NO MANNERS

Lots of Bed bugs in this hotel, been in room 40 with my pregnant wife and son, i got put into this hotel by the council temporarily till they find me a house, however my time here at the hotel i came across with more than 50 bed bugs that i killed that were on the bed always apearing every couple of minute, they weren’t just in bed but on the walls too. this was the worst night that we would never forget, we haven’t been able to sleep at all, Here are some pictures i took before i killed them.

Definitely a 2 star hotel. Staff are helpful and friendly. But the rooms are awful. Windows have never been cleaned, bathroom had a broken handle and no lock in the inside. Ever bed sheet had a Stain and the room stank of cigarettes, weed and damp.

AVOID AT ALL COST It was the worst overnight stay I have ever experienced at a hotel. Firstly the bed was tiny, curtains were filthy like there was hard snotters on the curtains. Secondly the guests in the rooms next door and around our rooms came back early mornin, the noise they were making was horrendous they were arguing, shouting, fighting on and off until 6am and playing music loud. They must have brought girls back as at 4am and 5.30am they were having intercourse in the room full of boys. The whole night was horrendous and as an owner of a business they didn't address this as a mark of respect for the other guests in the hotel. Contacted to request a refund and ignored, worst overnight stay I have ever had!!

Gentleman on reception was polite and welcoming.. Room was warm, clean and tidy.. Then the icing on the cake was Mary that made the best ever breakfast in the morning .. Even booked our taxi to the front door.. Thanks Mary you’re a gem ..

We had booked to stay at Smith's hotel for 4 nights but ended up leaving after just one. When checking in the staff were friendly, but the interior of the hotel it's self was very dirty and worn, in the hallways it looked like the carpets had not been vacuumed for a very long time. The biggest problem was our room. It was very small and basic, but that would not have been a problem for us. What was a problem was how dirty and unhygenic the room was. The mattress was rock hard, stained, and gave us both a very sore back after just one night. There were dark stains on the duvet cover, and in the morning we noticed other very disturbing stains on the skirt of the bed. In the bathroom there was tooth paste spray on the wall next to the sink from previous guests, and there was hair and dust on the floor. The window had a broken hinge and was dangerous if we wanted to have it open. We had planned to have breakfast at the hotel, but seeing the hygiene standards of the room changed our mind. I have only given service 2 stars because management need to address the hygiene and safety issues.

Very friendly and nice stuff! Apart of this unfortunately horrible hotel! The room was very dirty (sheets and towels) we had to ask to be replaced. All the floors were smelling weed. We paid 70£ per night with did not worth it at all! Wouldn't recommend it especially for families with children!

perfect example of a budget hotel. super friendly and helpful staff. the building is old but the warmth is welcoming. Umar was exceptional at helping us after we had to change hotel and needed one at short notice. first room was noisy and they graciously changed the room for us.

Fun little place! The staff were really nice and helpful. The room was small but cozy with a good view, and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was huge and delicious. I thought the value was great for such a low price. I was only here for one night, but I would've stayed more if I'd been in Glasgow longer.
