Stayed 2 nights 12th-14th December 2025. My room was over the ballroom, music thumping until 1am, party revellers in the corridors until 2am, followed by cleaners throwing glass bottles into bar skips until 3am, this happened both nights. I complained to reception and asked for another room but none available. It’s an overpriced and tired hotel, not very clean either. I paid €357 for room only for the 2 nights. By contrast, my brother paid €80 per night for Bellhaven hotel 400m up the road, where he could sleep, it was clean and not overpriced, I wish I had have stayed there instead.

The hotel is in the perfect location. Nice rooms and comfy beds. No mini fridge unfortunately, but there's tea and coffee making facilities and a couple of biscuits. Also an iron and ironing board, TV and safe. The top of the wardrobe had the thickest dust I've ever seen. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bar is very expensive. Parking on the top floor of the multi storey above waitrose is very reasonable. Just give the car registration to reception. If you dont take the botanical garden view, then you're overlooking the air con on the roof. So shut the curtains.

The good thing going on for the hotel is its location. It conveniently located opposite to the Botanical Gardens. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is nice. It’s one of the few hotels that offer on-site parking (for a fee). The rooms are small & tired looking. No heating controls in room so rooms can become stuffy. The mattress seemed worn out, the hotel needs to invest in new mattresses!

Come for the view, stay for the thefts! Stayed here Oct 10-15 2026 The best way to begin this review is by starting with the only positive thing about our stay at the Grosvenor, which is location. The hotel is conveniently placed in the West End of Glasgow which makes it walkable to some key sites like the Botanic Garden and U of G and several historic pubs as well as the subway station at Hillhead. Otherwise our stay was terrible. The room(s) we had allowed a lovely view of the HVAC systems and the parking garage next door. Beds were rock hard and uncomfortable, face cloths are a foreign word here and the rooms are very beat and tired with chips to furniture galore. We ended up moving rooms after someone, an employee presumably, entered our room, left the door ajar and stole a charging cord from us. We had left for the day and asked the front desk to adjust the temperature as there was no room thermostat. We hung the sign indicating the room could be cleaned and when we returned we found that the sign was on the floor in the room, the door was not closed (it had to be forcibly pulled upon exit to seal it). The room was not cleaned except for several pieces of garbage left in the bin and our multi device charging cord was missing. The cord is worth little but the fact that an employee entered our room left us with great unease, but wait it gets worse. I reported this to the front desk and was directed to speak with the manager who said he would check the room access and get back to me. In the interim we asked to be moved to a room with a door that properly locked. Unfortunately that room also had mould in the bathroom. Upon check out I asked if the manager had any news and they staff there couldn’t offer much help but to say that management would follow up. I never received any follow up or apology..in fact I got the sense that everyone in the hotel simply could care less. This escalated the issue from theft to a complete lack of customer service. Unfortunately we can’t recommend staying here given our experiences and complete lack of security. We will be back to Glasgow but definitely not the Grosvenor.

We had a fabulous stay here. Clean and comfortable rooms, amazingly friendly staff, great breakfast, and a fantastic bar. It's conveniently located in Glasgows West End, with an array of coffee shops, restaurants and bars all close by. If you do stay, visit the botanical gardens across the road. There is a subway close by which will get you into Glasgow Town Centre in 10 to 15 minutes. Highly recommended!

Although the hotel could do with a lick of paint in various areas we had a great stay. The family room we had was clean and comfortable, extra pillows were supplied when needed. The buffet breakfast was very good, the staff helpful especially with special dietary needs. We were there for a family wedding, the food and service was excellent.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. This website will compare thousands of hotel sites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the most well known in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't be disappointed. We’ve had a fantastic stay! Everyone has been really nice and helpful. The room is comfortable and the bathtub is AWESOME which is important to me!

Very good spacious rooms.. clean and well equipped with everything you need. Stayed for 4 nights with no problems. Very comfy bed and slept well. Breakfast very good with plenty of selection to choose from. Bar a bit pricey but that's how things are getting at the moment. Lots of eating and drinking establishment immediately outside and supermarket next door. What's not to like

We had a lovely reception here for a large number of guests and booked a handful of rooms. It was an exceptional location and the rooms were nice. The reception itself was wonderful! The food was delicious and the bar staff was nothing short of excellent. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and we hope to return again!
