Excellent location. All the staff were super friendly and very helpful., the location is excellent for Glasgow and access to the motorway to Edinburgh. It’s really quiet. Facilities for laundry etc. highly recommend

We’ve used Red Deer Village on several occasions in the last couple of years. Instructions on booking are clear and straightforward. The pitches are always in good condition and the entire site is well maintained. Facilities are kept clean and there are two toilet/ shower / washing facilitie blocks. It’s a 10-15 minute walk from the site to the train station, with only 2 stops from Glasgow Queen St upper station. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be returning when the opportunity arises.

We stayed 2 nights with our campervan. The location is great – considering Glasgow is a big city, there’s a park just around the corner, a train station within walking distance, and the city centre can be reached in about 30 minutes by bike (although the bike lanes aren’t always the best). The campsite itself is functional but not particularly charming – mostly large hardstanding pitches right next to each other, with no bushes or grass (at least on the bottom field̀). However, the sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the staff have been very friendly. Overall, it’s certainly a good choice if you’re looking for a practical base to visit Glasgow.

We stayed at Red Deer Holiday Park for three nights and had a very good experience overall. The pitches are neat, spacious, and filled with gravel, which made setting up very easy. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained, spread across two different buildings with separate areas for ladies and gentlemen. Check-in was smooth with a friendly welcome and clear explanation of everything we needed to know. The location is also convenient, with a train station just a 15-minute walk away. Trains run every half hour and take you straight into Glasgow. The only downside was the WiFi – it was extremely slow and often disconnected, which made it difficult to use. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay and found it a comfortable base for exploring Glasgow

This is a review just for the camping area, I don’t know about the holiday homes: Reception was super friendly and the place overall is really pretty and well kept. In my opinion, it is extremely overpriced though. The facilities were quite clean, but definitely not spotless and the shower was moldy and not up to standards (water way to hot, no water pressure), but at least free. I expected way more for the high price. At least it’s close to Glasgow central and you do feel safe with the locked gate.

Well kept site with clean, warm toilet block and a drive-over motorhome service point. Stepps Station is under 15 minutes walk away with a half hourly service to Queen St., which was convenient for Celtic Connections concerts in our case. This is our second visit, the first in Jan 2020. However both times our stay was spoilt by noise from building work, including an excavator working at 8am on a Sunday morning and lots of heavy lorry movements, within feet of our pitch, during the week. With this disruption, the price is a bit expensive.

Very good quality mobile homes with everything required. The site has good facilities and the staff are very helpful. I would recommend Red Deer Village Holiday Park for a short or long term stay.

We do not recommend anyone to stay at the Red Deer “Holiday” Caravans as they are not fit for purpose. We arrived to the site on Friday afternoon and instantly emailed about our upset at the conditions (inside and out) of the caravan, this email was sent just before 5pm. We were told that last check in was 6pm, so therefore, we assumed that a member of staff would be there to reply to our email. However, this was not the case. Inside the caravan, the radiator was broken, the sofas had large stains on them, there was grout (scum) in the shower, the fridge was unclean and rusty, the bed clothes were bobby and scratchy and the mattresses were of poor quality. As well as this, there were large amount of cigarette butts outside of the caravan, and it became known to us that they were cleared once a week. See photos attached. We also found out that these caravans are used by workers, builders for example. This information came to us from the site manager. Therefore, we were very confused as to why these caravans were being sold as a holiday home. The site manager agreed with us that the caravan was not fit for the purpose of a holiday and did apologise for its conditions. We approached members of staff about the conditions of the caravan on Monday morning. And although they were very apologetic and helpful to begin with, their approach to resolving the problem was unsatisfactory. We understood that we would not receive a full refund as we had spent 3 nights in the caravan (due to lack of response from staff, as their office was closed over the weekend) but we were extremely disappointed to receive only 10% back. We felt like we were definitely entitled to more, especially as we contacted members of staff upon our immediate arrival. And when we requested a higher percentage, they turned us down and told us that we should have contacted them sooner, when we did, via email. They then stated that we should have contacted their emergency number, but no information was provided to tell us that this number could be used for complaints, as the name “emergency” suggests otherwise, e.g. gas leak. The park itself is beautiful, and when you arrive, you really feel like you’re staying in a place of class and luxury. However, these caravans did not meet our original expectations. They are located right at the back, hidden behind the beautiful homes, and they are run down, making them unfit for the purpose of a holiday. And they really should not be sold as such. At £98 a night, you can have an even better experience at a local 5 star hotel.

This place is something else, it’s spotless, beautiful and has the best facilities I’ve had so far It’s a short walk to the station and Glasgow is 15 mins away. I would highly recommend staying here
