It’s a lovely place with a family environment. Rhonda has personalized it with putting interesting books and board games in the shared lounge. Clean, comfortable, next to train station. Most recommended

After reading such great reviews, we were very excited about staying here. However, this stay was very disappointing. The booking stated we would be greeted by the host, but when we arrived nobody was there. We called her number 4 times, and received no answer. We eventually just had to let ourselves in, and had to those the room we thought was ours. Luckily we chose the correct one. When we eventually met the host, there was no apology for not being there and she was not welcoming. It would’ve been nice to have some recommendations for things to do in the local area, but we did not get this. Another family also complained to us that the host wasn’t present for their check in either. There is a spiral staircase with a slippy floor up to the room. This is a potential death trap, and definitely not accessible for anyone with any form of mobility problem. The room was clean, however the shower was appalling. The shower fixture was broken, so I had to hold the shower head. The water pressure was next to none, where using the bathroom tap would’ve given me a better wash. The walls are paper thin, meaning you can hear the room next door’s conversations very clearly. Unfortunately this meant that after 10pm, absolute silence was required in order to not wake others. Even whispering would’ve been too loud. When we checked out, the host was not present again. The location is the only thing that this place has going for it. However, for the extortionate price we paid, we felt ripped off. There’s plenty of other hotels/guesthouses in the area, so I’d highly recommend staying somewhere else. Very disappointed and we will not be returning.

Stay with a couple of friends for a few nights. I went in with low expectations just from previous experiences with guest houses and was definitely impressed. We stayed in the Stag room which was bigger than I was expecting. I didn't receive an email about access to the property but after parking in the car park for the Tullie Inn we gave a quick call to the host who couldnt have been more helpful. The host requested we take our shoes off which we did but weren't comfortable leaving our shoes at the front door, we instead stored them in one of the roller storage bins under one of the beds since we tend to live out of suitcases anyway. With the weather being so nice we made great use of the fan provided until we finally figured out how to open the window in our room (it was a 2 man job for us). There was some plates and cutlery provided in the kitchenette which was very handy on the first night we arrived. The common area was a lovely little area to spend some time in and the location was perfect for our little day out to the loch and sea life centre only a 10/15 minute walk away. Theres also lots of shops, takeaways and the aforementioned Tullie Inn all close by for some food and drink and a short drive will take you to anything else you'd need or want. We're suckers for reading reviews and couldn't help have a chuckle at the responses from the host on the not so nice reviews (I'm sure you can tell whose side we took considering my 5* rating). All this to say, for a few days away, you won't regret booking this lovely guest house!

Absolutely charming little place with equally charming and personable service. Rhonda was especially excellent in helping me with the plans for our 15-man stag do, down to putting me in contact with all the right people for our activities and giving us all warm towels after check-out after we got caught out in the rain on padleboards and kayaks on the Loch. The place is clean, well located, the beds are cozy and the service is top notch. Would definitely stay there again!

We enjoyed the stay. The location was excellent - with restaurants just a minute of walk and grocery shop 500 meters away. The room was clean and the owner very nice. The parking lot was also ok. The only inconvenience was lack of sharp knives to cut a bread in the room. Otherwise all was really good.

Definitely recommended! Service was amazing. Very clean rooms, nice new furniture. Towels and natural sensitive-skin cosmetics provided. Near the train station, you can take a Loch Lomond cruise 5 min from the accomodation.
