   No one ever wants to find themselves in homeless accommodation, but if you're unlucky enough to be put in that situation then Eva Burrows First Stop is one of the better facilities in South Lanarkshire. It is close to many shops and within 5 minutes of bus stops with services to Hamilton and Glasgow. The staff are all wonderful, the shared facilities are always clean and tidy, and the rooms are spacious with en suite bathrooms. On the downside, the centre insists on keeping track of all residents and require you leave your keys at reception when you leave, and staff go round the rooms in the morning and evening for "welfare checks" which have woken me twice so far. You're also in close proximity with a lot of people and if you're like me (somewhat agrophobic and very anxious around strangers) it's not ideal.
