I am really upset about how the reception guy with long black hair treated me. I left my iPhone charger in my room and came back about 5 hours after checkout to get it. He didn’t care at all. He just sent a message to the cleaning staff and immediately said, “nothing is reported.” That was it. What does that even mean? If I left something, does it mean someone took it and didn’t report it? He didn’t try to ask anyone else, didn’t check properly, and just said he couldn’t do anything. When I suggested that maybe the charger wasn’t noticed because it was still plugged in, or that he could call the room and ask the guest, he said he “cannot call the room.” How is that possible? His attitude made it very clear that he knew something was wrong and still didn’t want to help. This was my first experience at this hotel and it was awful. I’ve forgotten things in hotels before and managed to get them back even weeks later. This place clearly doesn’t care. If you stay here, don’t leave anything in your room, it’s not safe.

We really enjoyed our stay. Especially rooms and the pool which was perfect. This could have easily been a 5 star review if it was not for the disappointing breakfast experience. We booked our breakfast the day before expecting an open buffet as stated on the hotel website only to get surprised on the day that the main restaurant is closed for sports teams and we had our breakfast in the bar. Our host was very helpful and asked us what we want from the buffet but I would really like to choose myself and I would have preferred if we were given the choice the day before, probably I would have gone for breakfast elsewhere. But still an overall nice experience.

We were upgraded and rooms were huge with a sofa. However Id say rooms and bathrooms need a serious upgrading as are pretty old and rooms stuffy. Super Kingsize bed was very comfy, though pillows weren't right size and very small and sparce. Lovely cotton bedding though. Rooms could look much better with upgrading. Service was great, but I took one star off as although Id checked in online, I was a good 20mins checking in again and others in our party said they were half hour, which is unbelievable amount of time and time off what you are there for. Pool etc are only available 4pm to 8pm, which was no use to us going out for dinner and then to a wedding reception. Id have loved to have a swim etc in the morning before my breakfast. Breakfast was fab. Restaurant was nice and spacious and very clean, with plenty staff around to assist.

Stayed here just the one night as we had a night out booked in Glasgow. Our room was great. Lovely and clean with a huge bed. Staff very polite and helpful. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice . Would definitely return . They have huge suites which our friends had and if you are staying longer I would highly recommend one of these.

We booked this hotel back in Oct 2021 for a trip this August. With less than a month before our visit the hotel had cancelled our reservation with the statement "We are no longer opened to the public on these dates". I called to get a bit more info as to why they decided this, with customer services not even fully aware of the situation themselves. Since then the situation has spiralled with cancellation after cancellation as we try and desperately find other accomodation which wont cost us an arm and a leg. The average rate for a 3 night stay in the city over the same dates has now surpassed £1000, and we're most likely going to have to completely cancel our trip and try to cut our losses.

Had a visit for afternoon tea & use of spa facilities. Staff were all lovely, very friendly and accommodating. Afternoon was lovely, scones were warm ! Only making down 1 star as the spa facilities are a bit run down and grubby. Overall I would go back, a wee face lift of the spa area would work wonders !

Great value for money. 2 days parking cost the same as my share of the room however. The spa and pool were a great addition and I was really impressed with the selection of equipment in the gym. Usually hotels have a running machine and some mats but the professional equipment here was comparable with any pro fitness centre. Bed was comfortable and the bath filled in seconds. I would recommend changing the small pedal bin in the bathroom as they just don’t work (too small and fall over). Good stay and great value. Also the staff were excellent.
