I find customer service very slow and don't seem to pay attention to customers waiting no matter when you visit the store always a long wait time even when I've had email to collect a parcel they had difficulty locating the item today

First of all, BOOTS, please update your opening hours and include the fact you close for lunch. Secondly, do you not answer your phone? Been trying all day, you got my prescription wrong. I have an appointment to see the nurse tomorrow morning which is now pointless because I do not have the correct items needed due to your error. Very poor service.

Attended boots at 11:00 on march 1st. Buying some essentials and asking to pickup a prescription. System was down, which is fair, stuff like that happens. But when it was evident I was hitting a minor panic attack over my medication (I have none left and it’s detrimental I have enough), asking if there’s any other way I could go around it, was met with thee worst attitude I’ve ever seen. I’ve worked at boots previously, in the pharmacy department specifically. To have a sales advisor repeatedly say “there’s nothing I can do” and raise her hands in the air while I’m trying to work out a plan of action, was condescending to say the least. Staff, especially from sales advisors in my experience, have a duty to be empathetic and understand that yeah you might have had to repeat yourself all morning letting people know the system is down, but I’m just hearing this news that is critical to my wellbeing. Have some compassion and understand I’m not questioning what you can do, I’m questioning how there are no back up options for people who can’t wait “until it just goes back on”. From an autistic person who struggles with panic attacks and relies on her meds, this encounter as well as the many looks she offered, has put me off shopping/attending boots again. Call it ableism or call it staff not understanding how awful this could be to someone. If it wasn’t for my partner with me, I would have probably cried. Boots, you’re a company I’ve worked for before and you’ve always done well. But this sales advisor has just shown how ableist and unemphatic those we trust to make us better.

I keep running out of pills. The repeat prescription service is hopeless..on Google the closing time is 6pm, but only when I get down there I find they close at 5pm...most annoying..

Poor customer service, your staff urgently need customer service training! They struggle to smile or communicate.

It is not a first time my prescription wasn't repeated on time, despite I signed up for repeated prescriptions and always remind them about it when collecting my meds. If I phone and say I have 10 tablets left they tell me I phoned too quickly, but when I phone and say I have 2 tablets left they say I should have phoned earlier on, never mind the medication had to be ready for me to collect every 4 weeks and it's been longer than that and still no meds ready. Every staff member tells you something different. One young girl that works there is always helpful and kind, but some of the staff members can be very rude once you point their fault to them that puts ill people at risk, which happened several times to me and left me with no medication being ready on time unless I chased it up myself...
