A welcoming, safe and supporting community. Clean mats and well looked after. It has a good location, very close to Ealing Broadway tube, bus station and the parking is right next to it. Free parking after 4PM on the streets. The coaching staff's level of technical mastery is apparent in every class. They demonstrate an encyclopedic knowledge of the art. Uses fun, age-appropriate drills.Keeps the kids highly engaged. Teaches concept! Combined decades-long history in the sport, the coaches are making sure that they teach life lessons on and off the mat. Coaches with a proven winning pedigree. History of securing major titles and producing champions. My sons's favourite are Coach Ronaldo and Professor Wali. Big thank you to everyone.

I recently joined The Gauntlet and have been really enjoying their Muay Thai classes. The coaches are excellent, and there’s always great energy in every session, which makes training fun and motivating. I’ve also started 1:1 coaching with Terrence, who is fantastic. He took the time to understand my goals and runs each session at the perfect pace. He’s friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in helping me improve. Highly recommend!

Love this gym! The Muay Thai classes are phenomenal with a focus on technique strength conditioning and loads of sparring. Great for beginners and fighters alike. BJJ is world-class, staff are super friendly, and the place is always really clean. Respect above all!

Hello Hello (Hi) ★☆☆☆☆
My son told me that there was a guy in the class who said that he had ringworm. I don’t believe that the members hygiene is monitored before sharing mats and rubbing up against each other during sparring. One may gain stamina but one also risks getting infected at the same time. I’m really not impressed. I can bet any money that their mats aren’t disinfected and worst still, they’re all bare footed! I’m trying to persuade my son to give it up for his health sake. It’s a health hazard.

Gauntlet is hands-down an incredible gym. The atmosphere is welcoming, professional and perfect for women, whether you're just starting out or further along in your training. I've always felt safe, comfortable, and respected in the space, something that’s not a given in every fight gym. The coaching team is phenomenal. Coaches like Sammy, Mat and Elliot are not only technically brilliant but also deeply respectful, supportive and engaging. Their sessions are challenging, motivating and inclusive, you leave feeling stronger and seen. That said, I do want to raise one concern. There is a woman at the gym, I believe her name is Mira, who may be a coach in training or simply part of the team. Unfortunately, my experiences with her have been consistently uncomfortable. While she presents herself as friendly, her interactions feel undermining and unnecessarily condescending. There have been a few moments where her comments felt passive-aggressive and it has genuinely impacted my confidence in class. It's disappointing, especially in such a strong and uplifting gym environment. Being great at Muay Thai doesn’t always equate to having good people skills, and I do think it's important for the team to reflect on the soft skills needed to coach effectively, especially in a space that values growth, trust and inclusion. Overall, I’m still hugely supportive of Gauntlet, the coaching and community are excellent. I just hope there's more thought put into who represents the gym in a coaching capacity going forward.

I joined The Gauntlet Fight Academy in January (2022), around 10 months ago, and I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made in my life. It has helped me both physically and mentally. Aged 23, and with no Martial Arts background I was fairly nervous about getting started but I was very welcomed into the gym by Hamza and soon my nerves were gone thanks to the community atmosphere that the gym provides. I have since progressed massively on my Martial Arts journey with the help of the professors and coaches. What I really like about the gym and what helped me (especially when I was starting out) is that the coaches are very helpful and will take time with you if you need it. However, when necessary, they will also be sure to give you that extra shove to keep you progressing. For me it is a perfect balance. I feel this has been one of the key points as to why I have been able to reach the milestones I have within the gym and not feel so overwhelmed whilst training. The gyms community feel is great and you never feel as if you are looked down upon as a beginner. It’s actually quite to opposite, you feel as if all of the team want to help you and want to see you succeed. Grappling is my favoured art and so I do really enjoy the Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling. I do, from time to time, do Boxing, Muay Thai and MMA. All the classes I attend are really well structured and we are blessed by all of the coaches being world class athletes within their specialty. There are many coaches from all around the world and so you can learn a lot from many different view points during training. One of my favourite things about the gym is the ability to train so many different martial arts all under one roof, all under one membership and not at a ridiculous price. Being available all under one membership means you are able to adjust your training schedule to your work/life balance. For somebody like myself, with 2 kids and a full time job, this is an amazing perk that the gym has to offer. Just to add, the gym has good changing rooms, showers and lockers. I’ve also left my gum shield and bracelet there a few times and it’s always been returned to me safely. The gym is also very clean and maintained well which is a must have when considering a martial arts gym, especially a grappling one. If you are looking to begin your martial arts journey or you are experienced I would recommend this gym. There are a lot of skilled members and the professors and coaches are very skilled and have a lot to offer to all.

I had a great experience here an amazing 5 years training with Coaches and Students at GFA, I had started 5 years ago at age 15 where with Sami, Muay Thai Coach, I grew and developed as both person and fighter along with the help of Neto, Head Jiu Jitsu coach. What I will say is if you are just starting out this is a place you should check out most definitely and think about it is a great community and family, although I am now venturing to see more styles and I am opening a new chapter in my life. But regardless it is a very respectful environment and I have loved every moment of it. Oss

I started BJJ in January at Gauntlet and the coaches and members are incredibly talented and make you feel apart of a family. Prof Neto and Prof Silviu are amazing and have really brought on my skills and made it easy for me to be consistent by being great coaches. They have also been incredibly supportive to my family and I off the mats whilst my daughter is undergoing medical treatment. I’d encourage anyone to join this gym!

It's a welcoming place, everyone is respectful and nice. I recently started my journey in martial arts after long time I spent without doing any sport, and I find it easy to settle in. Highly recommended!! Hamza from the reception is the best!
