Chronically understaffed, very chaotic, repeat prescriptions are continually ‘lost’ and the robotic system sounds are sensory overload, especially difficult for those with hearing sensitivities and impairments. If I was just rating the staff, it would be five stars for friendliness and for putting up with the conditions that Dicksons have subjected them too.
My family have used this pharmacy since it was owned by Mrs Hands, and, until recently, found them to be top of the line. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. My wife requires a number of different medicines and I only a couple, but trying to get prescriptions filled promptly is becoming more difficult. For instance, my GP sent one to the pharmacy on Wednesday and it was still not made up on Saturday. I have since discovered that a large number of patients are equally unhappy. If this situation is left to continue as is, then I, at least, will be looking to use a different pharmacy.
The staff are helpful and will take time to deal with issues if there are any problems with the prescription. They are knowledgeable too. If you've got a minor problem, you might be faster and better getting advice from them than your GP. It's handy location too
I am not satisfied with the service at this pharmacy. The staff often takes a long time to dispense medications. Additionally, the staff does not seem friendly and it gives the impression that they are unhappy with their work. The overall environment of the pharmacy feels sad and unwelcoming.
So glad that I found this chemist, it has made my life so much easier whenever I need any medication I just get it delivered. The staff work extremely hard and are always so helpful and kind to me. It’s a privilege to have this on Dumbarton Road. If you are looking to get your doctor’s prescription delivered to you simply contact them and fill out a few forms and they will do the rest. The man that delivers my medication is always amazing and so friendly.
There are not enough stars for me to make golden for the practice of the staff at this chemist. I am a difficult customer to deliver to as my prescription can change from week to week. I have agoraphobia so I cannot get to see my doctor. He has to listen on the phone to new symptoms as I have a compromised immune system and many health issues and my doctor might dispense a prescription outside my normal prescription day. The staff at Dixon Chemist have been so flexible with accommodating these changes. My prescription day was changed to the day before it is due so I can keep regular from the early morning 'til evening my medications. The staff in dealing with me, a housebound person with many chronic health issues and chronic trauma issues, have shown they care about providing excellent service. When I've had to 'phone, the staff listen (not easy, as trauma issues can make calling difficult for me; I can speak too fast, I can get upset, I'm not an easy customer to deal with). I cannot commend the staff at Dickson Chemist highly enough. All the staff deserve a medal for having to deal with a very messed up physical and emotional person as myself. The staff at this chemist provide a caring, understanding, listening, approachable, flexible practice. In my experience, with the health issues I have, needing to be dealt with by many services, Dixon Chemist are the best chemist at providing a home delivery service I have ever come across. Feelings secure in a chemist's service provision is vital to a this customer's needs. I get that from Dixon Chemist. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plus many more stars. Fragile customers who rely on any kind of service provision need what the staff at Dixon Chemist provide.
Very unprofessional, never got prescription ready on time I have had many problems with the staff especially the pharmacist I would recommend using another chemist this small shop couldn’t run a menouge and lack of communication with staff couldn’t run a menauge never mind peoples controlled medication,I went to collect mine on 20th jan when due n wasn’t there,it was there the loacam pharmacist who I’ve only met that day cancelled my prescription without letting the staff or me know, I have bn called mr happy bye staff and also comments here he comes again this absolutely ridiculous and I will be taking it further with both pharmacist’s, the other pharmacist Lorna who choose to spk to me through a wall and said I had attitude I would nevdr put myself through that again 3 yr and nit one time did they prove me wrong n have medication ready never again I will say Jennifer Paige n Sandra actually lift a finger n at least try help the others are appalling
shocking customer service went to me pick up a prescription put in the previous day obviously had been misplaced around 40 customers swerved before me twice I was asked what I was waiting for definitely forgot about me and the staff are very ignorant don't even look at you
Signed up for the prescription delivery and the service is a joke. Dickson's say they will be in contact within 5 days of signing up, but I've had no contact from them for 13 days even though I tried to get hold of them thru their website. I now have a "sorry we missed you" card from yesterday evening cuz they didn't even give me a rough date or time for delivery...but they won't attempt another delivery, I have to contact the nearest store myself! People's meds are far too important for this delivery service to be so badly handled! Ridiculous!
They don't reply to emails, and when they do they're reluctant to let you speak directly to someone even if you're having problems with what you've bought from them. Their website is a nightmare to use and they are really expensive as well.
