Staff very unwelcoming, as a customer paying over £35 and being screamed at because we asked to use the toilet is completely unacceptable. Even after pleading with the lady saying I have bladder issues still not being able to use the toilet made me feel completely worthless and humiliated.

I had one happy bowl here, the meatballs and fries are really good, coupled with nice ketchup.

The food is absolutely amazing. I got the chicken gyro and it came out hot with fresh vegetables and delicious sauce! Would definitely recommend.

I recently visited Taka Taka, a small restaurant that really surprised me with its flavour and value. It’s definitely on the smaller side – inside seating is quite limited, probably enough for about 10 people at most – so it’s not the kind of place where you linger for hours. That said, there’s outdoor seating available, which is nice if you want to enjoy the view while you eat, and many people seem to go for takeaway. The food itself was the highlight. I was really impressed with both the taste and the portion sizes. The flavours were fresh and satisfying, and the quantity they give for the price is more than fair. It’s not expensive at all considering the quality, which makes it a great spot if you’re looking for a tasty, filling meal without spending too much. The service was quick and straightforward, and even though the space is small, it had a warm and welcoming vibe. I can see why it’s popular for grab-and-go meals – it’s convenient, affordable, and consistently good. If you’re in the area and want something flavourful and filling without the fuss of a big sit-down restaurant, Taka Taka is worth checking out.

Nice place to eat the delicious gyros. However that day which i totally understand 1st of jan , everyone wants to be home and just relax. But our fries were way more salted the pitta bread was chew like it was warmed and then left outside for ages before serving and the meat was a bit cold. And no it wasn't a delivery it was an actual in house order. However this is only the first time i had this situation at taka so food any other time i have eaten there was delicious and nice. Just think that the staff can be a bit more careful regarding the food when serving.

Good but could be better. Wanted some food late night, this place looked good. Ordered a chicken Gyro, was decent but could have been better. Could do with more sauce, it was a bit dry. Filled a hole though. Staff were friendly.

We have been working till late and fancied some fresh food, Taka Taka in the centre was the right choice. Fresh ingredients, and knowledgeable staff. Even if it was late, and they had delivery requests coming, the customer service was outstanding. Halloumi salad and meat platter are worth to try! Highly recommended!

On Saturday afternoon me and my partner stopped for a quick pit stop which took far too long. Food Let's start with the end product, we had the pork wrap and it was actually very nice! The meat had plenty of flavour and the filling to bread ratio was good. Often I find that the bread dominates in this kind of thing so to get a good mouthful of filling with each bite was a nice surprise. If I was to be critical it was very easy to eat without making a mess because there was a lack of sauce in the wrap. I don't mind a messy eat if it means plenty of sauce! Service What a let down! We walked into an empty restaurant and was left stood for around 5 minutes, we should have moved on at this point. The guy serving eventually asked what we wanted and we placed our order. He wasn't rude but it felt very transactional. We then took a seat with our receipt. A few moments later three female students then came in and ordered their wraps too. Nothing then really happened for about 13 minutes (except a few delivery orders went out). Then two of the three girls recieved their wraps (strange), I was about to raise a query when they finally shouted our number. We waited 17 minutes for a wrap, no apology or explanation. Location This little shop is located nicely near the bus stops but is nothing special, its just like a take out place. It did appear clean inside. Price No complaints here, I think it was about £7 for the wrap and a can of drink. Just about right for what we recieved.
