Red is a small club with a single room, this together with the poor lighting makes it feel like the venue for a childs disco rather than a professional Nightclub. The security staff are unfriendly and will often turn people away for not being regulars but will readily accept those that have recently turned 18, they are also known for frequently allowing entry to minors. Should you be on a night out in Greenock and want to go to a club I would suggest Word Up as an alternative; With its variety of rooms to suit your musical tastes, attractive interiors, and regular Drink promotions it is easily the better choice.

I don't know if this club wishes to stay open when they are denying entry to people because the security staff don't know you, if you are visiting Greenock and decide to go out with some people then stay away from this place as you will be denied entry due to not being a regular. From what people have told me of the club once you get through the doors its overpriced, has terrible music and is full of people who just turned 18 or are under-age. Avoid at all costs if possible stick to bars or head to #1 where the staff are nicer and due to recent work is much nicer on the inside
