It's often said that women love men who can dance. But a man who dances is a rarity in today's world. Even more unusual is someone who dances a range of Ballroom and Latin dances. So if you are a man and you can learn a few different dances you are onto a sure fire winner. That's where the Arthur Murray Dance Studio at Baker Street in Central London comes in. I've been lucky enough to attend their classes for over seven years now. Having been to all the other main dance studios I can safely say their dance instructors know more about teaching people to dance than anyone else in London. People from all ages and walks of life attend their classes. Before starting classes with Arthur Murray I used to turn down attending events in fear of the dance music starting up! I now do lots of performances at events without a moments worry or hesitation. Arthur Murray have a tried and tested method developed over many years that's used all over the world for quickly getting you up on the dance floor with confidence. Most other dance studios concentrate on one or two dances. But Arthur Murray gets you on your feet using lots of different dances so you are never at a loss whatever the social situation. Private classes are highly tailored one to one sessions, as well as there being friendly, small group classes. There's a practice party with all the students once a week where you get to practise what you have learnt in the formal sessions. And there are endless Balls and events. Everyone is super supportive and any feeling of being self conscious quickly evaporates. Teachers are incredibly supportive and have the patience of saints. Their one goal is to get you dancing with confidence. Two final thoughts. Dancing is unquestionably the best exercise you can do as it uses all your senses and body coordination skills in a social setting. And if you are a man remember you will always be in demand. If you have ever wanted to learn to dance but felt a bit shy about coming forward, don't delay any longer. Don't turn down any more party invitations like I did. Stop putting it off. Get in touch with the Arthur Murray studio now. You will be so happy you did. Rod Laird

A true sanctuary to learn to dance! Life is stressful and exhausting but Arthur Murray have created a place where you feel you are with a family and can enjoy learning to dance without any judgement. I personally have Kamila and Anas who have taught me to love to dance and let go of my inhibitions. However, all the teachers are amazing. Thank you all for teaching me to enjoy dancing!

A team of excellent inspiring staff with friendly fellow students- we have tried many other dance schools and we find the combination of Arthur Murray's group and private class is the best. Highly recommended!

What an absolute Scam! I hope the manager gets to read this! I went to the Killburn dance studio today for my "trial lesson" I can affirm that they told me this was a free lesson just to see if I liked the studio like they do in every other place. I also insisted on knowing the price of the classes and they told me they would not give it until I had my free lesson. As soon as I went there all they talked to me about was the fee's which are pricy, the teachers are ok, not impressive, I have been dancing salsa and bachata for a while and they lacked the feeling of doing it, they literally danced for 15-20 minutes with me and they told me to sit down again and talk about the fee's, after that they told me I had to pay 20Β£ for todays lesson and I told them that I was not aware of that, and they told me yea is because if you subscribe we take that lesson off you in your first payment and that most people subscribe (every time I walk thru the studio is absolutely empty) so im not sure of that, point is I had to pay 20 pounds for 15 mins of dancing and for a brief lesson, on which all they told is that I would be their best dancer and nothing useful. I'm very upset, not happy I literally feel like I got robbed, and when I told them that I felt I shouldn't pay for it, the east european guy just told me, man nothing in this world is for free, pay us. Very rude, absolutely upset, NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL, unless you are a beginner with loads of money.

My dance teachers in this studio have been what I was looking for: enthusiasm, energy and creativity! In addition, most of the time, they give you the opportunity to dance socially and with teacher supervision! Dance party time and showcases are always on the agenda! Once my daughter has finished her final exams, I will be spending as much time as possible practising my cha cha and salsa moves! Can't wait for the next party! :)
